This is what it boils down to me for as well. Vick would be much better fit in a smaller market where he'll get less scrutiny. Vick in Dallas wouldn't be good for us or him.

What does deer and cows have to do with it really? Cows are slaughtered for food, do I care how? no. And before you try and slap the death penalty thing at me, I will answer that too. If you deserve death penalty, then you should be put to death and it does not matter to me how quick or painful it is.

i dont agree with what Vick did but i do disagree with the rational of the Vick haters......my point is exactly what you are refering to.....its only animal cruelty if its against certain animals...but with other animals you can do whatever you want and in todays society its perfectly acceptable......just pointing out the hypocrisy ......and you say horses are protected ? what about rodeos, racing and farms where they are worked relentlessly, whipped, spurred then put down when they get injured......?

If he is the great athlete everyone says then he will win some championships in the cfl and get paid.

well here in America, it as much a crime for a homeless guy to steal ten dollars from a very wealthy guy (unless you work for the gov't obviously) as it is to steal 10 million when it comes to judgement.

I agree 100%. For some reason, anytime this loser's name is mentioned it becomes Cowboy related, even though the team has ZERO intention of giving him the time of day.

dadymat is one of those that refuse to admit that someone that tortures animals for PLEASURE is a bad guy. Then he tries to say what about other animals- which is not the point but just his way to try and divert the conversation from something he does not want to talk about. What does hunting or the processing (butchering) of animals for food have to do with that? Nothing of course.
Vick did this for 5 years. As the indictments made plain, he personally took golden retreiver puppies and threw them in the pit as "appetizers" for the fighting dogs.

Agreed.

He made some monumental mistakes and has paid a hug price.

I think he deserves a second chance.

Not saying the Cowboys - or any other team - should sign him but I think he should have the opportunity to attempt to straighten his life out.

He's paid his dues and I personally wouldn't hammer a team that signed him.

People can realize the error of their ways without being spurned from society.

This I totally agree with. The guy screwed up, like most of us have in our lives at least once, and he paid the price for it. I'm sure he will eventually find his way into the saddle again as a QB in the NFL and wish him well as he begins the long journey back to respectability. I would just prefer he stay away from the Dallas Cowboys. We're fine at that position.

Outside of that, it's the dead of offseason. One Vick thread isn't going stop new cowboy threads about "Who's your favorite player/coach/or non-cowboy" from being posted.
