I guess you’re to blind to see the irony, so you admit you were a hater and rejoiced in his bad games and cheered his injuries. Looks like you’re one of fake fans you don’t like.
You weren't there, so stop with the ridiculous assumptions which you intentionally are creating in order to attack. I was a huge Romo fan before he even got his first start in 2006. After his 2006 season when he went Hollywood, started seeking the limelight like a rabid dog, and went to Cabo during the middle of the playoffs while stating he wasn't worried about "perception" (which Troy immediately scolded Romo in the media for saying that), I knew he did not have the hunger to take this team far into the playoffs. Sure enough, 11 starting seasons later, my prediction based on his actions and words back in 2007 proved to become true. If Dak did and said the same, I would bash him relentlessly to no avail until he got benched as well.

I don't go in the game threads much anymore it's unrecognizable from even a few years ago. I will say that my Cowboys game watching experience is much better without the game thread.
I stop by the game day threads ... mostly during a bad loss. At least I know I'm not alone in being upset.

so they can trash the player they hate make me sad. Lucky I’m old enough to remember when most fans rooted for the team regardless if they loved or disliked the QB or any other player.
All fans here want the Cowboys to win esp when it counts the most ............The Playoffs!
Unfortunately under the current leadership from owner to GM and HC+QB this is a mirage scenario.
Now drink some more of Jerry Kool-Aid and keep beating these below .500 teams to a pulp so you can praise your man crush.
P.S. Don't forget to choke when facing a real team..............o_O

I will never root against any player on this team. But what you're talking about goes back further than you think. I remember people telling me to my face that the Broncos will never win anything with John Elway at QB. Not a lot of people, but a few. Back in the 80s there wasn't much social media.

I think any QB Dallas gets is going to be trash to a lot of fans unless he's a first ballot HOF QB.

When Aikman gave his retirement speech, the media went to Jimmy and ask him about Aikman and perhaps some memories.

Jimmy said Aikman played within the game plan and didn't think about any personal goals but winning the Super Bowl. Per Jimmy, Troy could have thrown for Marino numbers, but that was not what the team needed.

In one of the books about that era Cowboys, the story about Jimmy and Troy came out. Troy didn't like Jimmy because of Steve Walsh. There was a bit of controversy like with Morton and Staubach.
After the season ended, Jimmy threw a party at his house. Aikman showed up and Jimmy told Troy to toss his jacket on the bed where the other people put theirs.

Jimmy went in and took Troy's car keys. Troy tried to leave several times but Jimmy stopped him. Then at the end of the party, as people were going Troy found he was missing his car keys. Jimmy told him to be patient and Jimmy would help him find them after everyone left.

When they were alone Jimmy made Troy have a beer with him. They talked for a while and Jimmy revealed Troy was his guy. Jimmy patched the rift between them. Then he pulled Troy's keys out of his pocket.

Jimmy understood people, maybe better than anyone I have seen.
This is the reason why I don't give 2 schits about Dak's stats or his ability to beat up on the bad teams like the Gnats this week (or 1-8 Carolina next week). I will acknowledge he had a great game yesterday, but it was against the Gnats. Stop touting #4 for his stats and hold him accountable for his inability to keep up and compete with the better teams. Sure, I enjoyed embarrassing the Gnats because they are division foe, but they are a really bad team right now.

I want Dak and the rest of the team to have an Aikman, Irvin, or Brady mindset - put aside personal goals and strive for the ultimate team goal. Nothing else should matter but winning championships. When players are getting paid the ridiculous amounts of money they are paid these days, it's a very small thing for a fan to expect. Without us they aren't making that much money.

The fact is that this is a chat board and we need things to talk about. Unlike the Dallas FO, we give this team a full work over after every game. I do not accept the premise that as fans all we need to do is cheer. This isn’t the Pom Pom squad. The most boring threads are where we all agree how wonderful a player is or how great a game we just played.
The bold is basically what some are demanding we do. Dak had a great game against a bottom feeder, just like he nearly always does. Bravo for Dak. All I ask is to see him do this when the competition is tougher. Small thing to ask for in my opinion.

I wish the Mods would bane both sides who spend all their time defending Dak and attacking Dak.

They are both equally annoying.
And then you are left with nothing but a bunch of lemmings who all have the same opinion about everything related to the team. Is that what you want?

So I can't root for our team to win every week but still be critical of certain players at the same time? Why not?

What keeps you from being able to comprehend that this ain't contradictory?
Of course not. What about my response made you think that?

I’m not talking about people who are critical of individual players or front office moves or coaching decisions.

A fan can absolutely root for wins and be generally dissatisfied with the teams.

That being said, I do think there are people on the board who actually do root against the team and hope we lose each week.

Yeah I can't stand weak, low IQ coward *** fans like this.

If I ever saw them at a game, I'd probably smack the hell out of them in front of their wife and kids just for being a loser in life.
Dude, let’s not get carried away.

not true....some have literally come out and said I hope cowboys lose because I don't like Dak. you are friends with a couple of them.you yourself have walked that borderline many times.

so yeah, I don't believe what you say. some only care about complaining and driving their agenda and being a troll.

I just wish this team would win something of significance for the younger followers.

I really do.

For my son is one of them.
it feels like we are the Cubs. just hope we don't have to wait 99 years.

and in another thread, you heard from horses mouth (Jerry), when things get dull, he likes to stir things up.

He fancies himself as as the ultimate super fan, I guess. Everyone else, like he said, is a "low IQ coward *** fan".

Threatening to assault people in public (over a sporting event, no less) is a true indication of his character.

I have good news, then.... neither Jerry or Stephen will live another 70 years, so there's hope for the future generations.

Im not sure they root for the team to lose maybe 2 people tops do that but there are definitely those that hope #4 sucks in a winning effort so they can continue their crusade. They are also pretty quiet when he plays well

There may be a couple, maybe a few but really not many at all. I think 99.5% of this board would be completely happy if Dak could get over the hump in the playoffs!
