Other than maybe Stroud, I doubt there's a QB in this draft that will do anything. Sure, somebody will surprise and be decent, but this is a bad class.

With the QB room being the same as it was last season, well last few seasons.
This is about what round will the choose a QB to groom.

I will also add this article, from the Mailbag, instead of a different thread. What if the BPA is a QB?
Nick has an interesting take, but sounds a bit crazy but also makes a bit of sense....BAN....Best Available Need.....

The answer is simple. If you see a stud take him.

What exactly is the question? There's no addressing the QB position in any round after the 3rd round. At that point they are better off drafting other positions and go find the next Romo the old fashioned way (undrafted free agents).

When this team needed a WR or RB they were willing to invest at the very least a 3rd round pick, they even love to gamble with injured LBs and premium picks, why so stingy with the most valuable position?

Do not turn this into the normal Dak bash thread.
I’d rather turn it into a “ can we find another Stephen McGhee in the 4th round” thread

no way we can catch that kind of lightning in a bottle again

it was a miracle we were able to land DeNucci when we did

so much success over the years, but it’s because we value the qb position like no other

The QB is addressed. Cooper Rush wasn't signed to compete for the backup spot. I don't see them using a mid-round pick for a third string QB when there are other areas of need to be addressed. I would say the QB position has been effectively kicked a year or two down the road.
It’s not like the players drafted in the mid-rounds can be counted on to address a position. I can easily see them drafting a QB in the mid-rounds because it is well worth the gamble.

I would draft a quarterback, every single season anywhere from fifth round on. You just never know what you might acquire

I dont want a non-viable QB taking up a roster spot.

If it's not someone with true potential of being a Dak successor, address it later and with a higher pick / FA.
I agree
Why waste a pick on a guy the scouts don’t see as a future starter
My guess is outside the top guys there are 3-5 guys they see as viable prospects. Those are likely spread out over the later rounds. If one of them is on the board in a round they think he’s worth the risk and no other guy has fallen at another position, they make the pick
forcing a pick to to add a position and passing on a better prospect at another position equates to two fails
Honestly the odds of hitting on a guy in the middle rounds, or later is mighty slim. Sometimes it happens but the odds of say hitting on a LB in the 4th is tremendously higher than hitting on a QB
