Have we hit Mark Knopfler or Chet Atkins yet?
I'm a huge fan of finger picking in general. It's part of the reason I'm a huge classical guitar fan too.

Brian Jones was a great musician, one of the best in R&R history, and the best musician the Stones ever had no question about it.
Brian Jones was not the best guitarist the Stones ever had, actually he might be the worst guitarist the Stones ever had. Brian Jones was bored with music because he mastered it. He was able to play any instrument after just a week or so of practice.
I'm not sure what you mean when you say he was the Devil. Maybe you been listening to Satanic Majesty's Request a little to often.
I'll just pick one.
Mick Taylor - John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers - The Rolling Stones - a few other bands/solo as well.
Bluesbreakers
The Rolling Stones

Neck and Neck is a pretty good album. I assume you know it, since you listed Mark Knopfler and Chet Atkins together.
First concert I ever saw - Beacon NYCAl Di Meola
That’s some first concert. Saw Return to Forever Brooklyn Pier, just blew me away.First concert I ever saw - Beacon NYC
Tom Morello. This guy is on another planet
I could name so many........
But today ill go with Nuno Bettencourt, the 2 min guitar intro to this is amazing.
Love me some Nuno Bettencourt. Took me a looong minute to learn Flight of the Wounded Bumblebee. Pornagrafitti is one of my favorite albums of all time and it has little to do with the rest of the band.
