This thing has gone from interesting, to expected, to annoying, to pathetic, to "i hope this guy has both of his arms ripped off so he can't make any more comebacks".

Talk about tarnishing your legacy.

You're right and i agree 100%, but i hate the Vikings and the Packers so on one hand i'm loving the fact he's sealing his Packer legacy and all Packerdom will hate the guy forever:laugh2: and i believe he'll end up causing descension among the vikings like he did in NY last year. He was reported to be aloof and standoffish to the Jets players. He'll get dinged somewhere along the way and his play will spiral downward just like it's done 3 out of the last 4 years.

Good luck Brett ya prima donna turd.

I'll probably be the only happy fan in the forum. Love this, even though it makes them a tough team to beat.

Nope. I've been waiting for Brett to sign. I like Brett with the Vikes.

I was looking around for my surprised face..but couldn't seem to find it..LOL , other than that it doesn't bother me that he is returning. More power to him if he thinks he still has something to offer!
Even at his worst..he is still better than some.

I have always enjoyed watching Favre play football but his antics really are starting to get on my last nerve. T.O. has been a drama queen his whole career and has developed that reputation. Brett Favre is pulling some of the same **** that T.O. has been vilified for, and seems to get a pass from everyone.

I'm sure as hell not defending T.O., because I think he is certainly a nut case, but Favre has become the biggest drama queen South of T.O. for the past 3 years. All of this Favre Watch stuff is ********. The media is feeding Favre's ego, and really letting him off the hook for being the drama queen he is.

The Lord has landed
Posted by Mike Florio on August 18, 2009 12:41 PM ET

Brett Favre has arrived in Minnesota, with Vikings owner Zygi Wilf's plane landing in St. Paul earlier this hour.

A reader in the Twin Cities says that KSTP-TV is covering the event like it's a slow-speed Ford Bronco chase, with helicopter cameras showing Favre getting off the plane and then following the SUV into which he climbed as it made its way to the team's headquarters.

Other readers say that folks already are offering $200 or more for game tickets with a face value of $76.

So stay tuned. The next step will be for Favre to pass a physical and then add his Terry Hanratty to a contract.

Vikings fans "storm" Winter Park

Posted by Mike Florio on August 18, 2009 1:13 PM ET
Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports that Vikings fans have "stormed" the team's facility in conjunction with the arrival there.

[UPDATE: Kudos to the reader who coined the phrase "Favrestock" in the comments.]

Writes Zulgad, on his Twitter page: "Favre has arrived and it looked like he was with Childress. Issue was lack of security as fans stormed Vikings property."

A reader says that traffic was backed up, with people parking their cars at the side of the road and heading directly to the building.

In an unrelated note, there will likely will be no local blackouts of Vikings games this year.

Yep. Vikes break camp, Favre finally finishes wrestling with decision to return. Pure coincidence, I'm sure.

Remember all the hand-wringing about Tony getting in sync with Roy, how they needed to start in March or February to get on the same page? Not so with The Favre. He just shows up a couple weeks before the season. If the receivers don't make the catches, it won't be his fault.

Bingo. We have a winner. Perception is everything. Perception almost becomes reality.

Nevermind.

I think he was being sarcastic (note the smilie). How could anyone not be fed up with Favre's old and tired act? The man is tarnishing his legacy.

So which QB do the Vikings end up cutting at the end of the pre-season, Tavaris Jackson or Sage Rosenfels? I seriously doubt they keep both guys along with Favre. Neither guy is probably willing to be a 3rd string QB.

I'm with Hostile and AbeBeta on this one. Favre's a flat-out legend and the toughest QB of his era, hands down.

I've always been a big fan of his, and if he is indeed a Viking, he'll immediately become my 2nd favorite starting QB again (behind Romo, of course).

Forget it. He won't be remembered for the TDs or the Super Bowls, but rather as an aging, broken-down dilettante who didn't know when to hang it up, and who selfishly jerked millions of people around just because he could.

I've been a fan of his losing at Texas Stadium. :p:

Because I don't care about his act. This is the NFL, not an episode of Inside Edition.
