If he doesn't think he's innocent, why the choice of words??

Wait, if Poindexter is crooked, then how can we trust what he says at all?

Why would a Vick DEFENDER lie about the presence of witnesses AGAINST him??

And anytime you have people taking deals to testify against someone else, the jury will become aware of that. Its far from a slam dunk.

Never read anything about ANY of those witnesses being offered a deal to testify, rather they reportedly CAME FORWARD to testify... which is rather a different thing...

Further, if SEVERAL people come forward saying the same thing, the more of them that testify to the same thing, the more their story starts to sound like the truth, no matter what the defense might be able to do to damage the credibility of each witness...

And since some probably already have records (since dog fighting leads to other crimes as I am told),

And what if one of those witnesses is that informant who has testified in FIVE other court cases involving dog fighting, and helped secure convictions in all five??

Look at you, desperately trying to trash the credibility of the witnesses against Vick, without even having the first clue who they are... ALL you know at this point is that witnesses have come forward...

Like I said, you seem to be awfully convinced that Michael Vick is innocent...

]And Vick was regularly buying supplies? Or the people living in the house?

All three witnesses have testified that Michael Vick his own self was in the store regularly, purchasing supplies...

It sure looks like you haven't even bothered to look into the known facts surrounding this case, IOW like you don't have a flippin' clue about much of ANYTHING behind the situation, yet you're playing Ron Mexico's defense attorney... ROTFLMAO...

Couldn't the same be said for the defense? I mean, Vick hasn't given his side of the case. Last I heard, his lawyers haven't yet begun to attack the evidence.

Can't wait to see 'em try...

I don't know how reliable this report is, posted on AOL.COM. I've seen no one else push it, but..

Report: Massive K-9 Grave Found on Michael Vick's Property

Posted Jun 8th 2007 5:45PM by Dan Benton

According to a WVEC.com report (citing ESPN Radio), nearly three dozen dog carcasses were found on the Virginia property formerly owned by Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick.

The warrant to excavate and search the property was executed earlier today and based on the video, it was obvious that they began to discover the remains of dead dogs early in their search. The remaining portion of the day was spent digging up the rest of Vick's former yard in order to find any and all remaining deceased K-9's.

As noted above, the end tally approached nearly 36 dogs; an incredible and almost unrealistic number. The amazement is only added to by the fact that Vick's cousin, Davon Boddie, insisted that he and Vick had no knowledge or participation in illegal dog fighting.

I have stuck to my guns and stated time and time again that Vick is innocent until proven guilty, and while that remains a fact by law, you can not dispute this evidence. Both Boddie and Vick are in serious, serious trouble and a five-year prison sentence may be right around the corner.

From this New York Post article (yes, it's a tabloid, I know):

http://www.nypost.com/seven/0608200...s_dig_up_michael_vicks_yard_nationalnews_.htm

As the feds' search came to a close, the dozens of cars -- and an evidence collection truck from the Virginia State Police -- left Vick's property. One of the last men to leave Thursday night, who refused to identify himself, described the scene and said "I hope I never see this place again."

But of course the Post never says what he saw.

Another AOL.COM report on the brightest of light bulbs, Vick's cousin Davon Boddie:

Vick's Cousin, Davon Boddie: Dogs Were Planted

Posted Jun 8th 2007 6:55PM by Dan Benton

Filed under: Falcons, NFL Gossip, NFL Rumors, Atlanta, NFL Police Blotter

Davon Boddie, cousin of Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick, is watching his world crumble before his very eyes. As more and more evidence is discovered, the deeper his grave, and his cousin grave, is dug. With more than 30 dog carcasses having been discovered on Vick's Virginia property, Boddie and Vick are now facing some serious criminal charges and a possible prison sentence.

Boddie has repeatedly said he had no knowledge of any dog fighting that went on, but now he's taken it a step further. Not only does he claim this is all news to him, he actually believes that this is some sort of conspiracy. During an interview with WAVY TV 10, he actually dares to hint that the original 66 dogs were planted by police.

"I got a little French poodle, man," he said. "That's all I know."

Brilliant. I mean, honestly, that's the best he has? A conspiracy? Obviously he's not going to fess up to the dog fighting or anything else that may be found, but he certainly isn't helping himself or Vick by claiming these dogs were planted.

You can't make this stuff up.

Vick, citing scheduling issues, scraps football camp

ATLANTA -- Reacting to the ongoing investigation of Michael Vick, and to the perceived fatigue that has set in on fans here as the almost daily news updates surrounding the team's star player continue, Atlanta Falcons officials on Friday dispatched a letter to season-ticket patrons asking for patience, prudence and understanding.

In addition, Vick announced on a Web site that he is canceling his annual football camp, scheduled for June 30-July 3, because of "scheduling issues."
The letter, signed by Falcons' owner Arthur Blank and team president/general manager Rich McKay, stressed that fans should permit the investigation to play out and not jump to any conclusions. It is essentially in line with a message Falcons management has publicly urged since the investigation, which is focusing on potential dogfighting on property that Vick owns in Virginia, but on which he does not reside, began in late April.
In part, the letter reads:
"Any time a player in our league -- and especially a Falcons player -- shows up in a negative light for any act, it is disappointing to us. While unsubstantiated to date, the current public situation concerning Michael Vick puts us in a particularly difficult spot because of the daily attention it is receiving in the media, and our inability to respond because we don't yet have all the facts with which to deal.

Appearing on The Dan Patrick Show, ESPN's Kelly Naqi says many wonder whether federal involvement in the Michael Vick dog-fighting case is really about cracking down on the violent activity.

"We hope you understand it would be inappropriate and premature to make any definitive statements or take any action until we know the facts. Therefore, we are awaiting the outcome of the investigation just as you are. For the benefit of our fans, the Falcons and Michael, we hope there will be a quick and clear resolution to this matter so that we all can move forward.
"In the meantime, we want you to realize there are many examples of our organization impacting our community in a very positive manner."
The letter then delineates the many charitable functions in which Atlanta players participate, and points out that the Atlanta Falcons Youth Foundation has to date provided more than $10 million in grants to Georgia-based nonprofit organizations.
"Over the past five years," the letter finishes, "we have worked hard to build a winning team and a respected franchise for our fans and the Atlanta community. You have responded in a positive manner, and we thank you for your support and loyalty. We respectfully ask for your understanding as we work through our current situation."
Vick's annual camp, which he has held for the past several years, was to have taken place at the Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Va. On the Web site, which was shut down late in the afternoon, the cancellation of the camp was announced, with a statement that deposits and refunds would be processed immediately.
"To all campers, Michael Vick and his staff apologize for any inconvenience," the short announcement said.
Calls to Vick's private attorney, Larry Woodward, were not returned.

Check out the various videos on WAVY-TV. There's the latest on the investigation, an interview with the cousin who lived there (it's all a conspriracy - sad), and one with Poindexter.

That cousin sounds like a damned idiot.

1st hes gonna say that there were lies about him having 10 ounces of weed......

then he says Vick hasn't reached out to him because he shouldn't have been doing what he was doing in "dealing with drugs".

Said so many other stupid things too. He probably did more harm then good by even saying anything. Im starting to wonder if Portis shares bloodlines with this guy because he was almost as dumb.

I'd like to know what sort of attorney Davon Boddie has. Troy McClure? What competent defense attorney would allow his client to give that interview? It almost seemed as if he'd been encouraged to give it since there was some obvious coaching involved on some of the questions.

Vick's cuz'n is an idiot and Vick should prolly put a muzzle on him.

Should be real interesting how all this plays out. It might be slow going, but as long as it's done right, goes through the proper stages, and evidence is examined thoroughly, I think I'll leave angst to everyone else. Right now, I don't know if there's enough against Vick for a conviction, but there MIGHT be enough for an indictment. Tho, I'm not completely convinced of that.

I think the real question is...is there enough evidence/bad press/past instances to warrant a suspension?

Right now, I don't think so.

Past instances have already been disciplined by the league. And I think the league is hamstrung by the fact that Vick hasn't been directly linked.

These lyrics by Neil Peart were written about Vicks future.

Here we go - vertigo
Video vertigo
Test for echo

Here we go - in slo-mo
Video vertigo
Test for echo

Some kind of trouble on the sensory screen
Camera curves over caved-in cop cars
Bleacher-creatures, would-be desperados
Clutch at plausible deniability
Don't touch that dial -
We're in denial
Until the showcase trial on TV

Some kind of pictures on the sense o'clock news
Miles of yellow tape - silhouetted chalklines
Tough-talking hood boys in pro-team logo knock-offs
Conform to uniforms of some corporate entity
Don't change that station
It's Gangster Nation
Now crime's in syndication on TV

What a show - vertigo
Video vertigo
Test for echo

Touch and go - in slo-mo
Video vertigo
Test for echo

Some kind of drama live on satellite
Hidden camera coverage from the crime scene to the courtroom
Nail-biting hood boys in borrowed ties and jackets
Clutching at the straws of respectability
Can't do the time?
Don't do the crime
And wind up in the perp walk on TV

I'm betting the government will trot at least 2 eyewitness out that put him at fight scenes. Now these guys are most likely scumbags themselves and their credibility will be scrutinized. But that's my bet.

Here's what I want from this whole thing...

The truth... and those, if any, guilty serve the full extent of the offense...

I don't necessarily like Vick, but I don't want him spending time in the pokey if he truly is innocent. If he is guilty, I want him nailed. The same goes for any/all involved.

I'm sure there's a difference between federal and state/county grand juries...

That being said, the first time I spoke in front of a grand jury I went over the facts and basically told the grand jury what we wanted them to do. You really don't have to have a whole lot to get an indictment. You have to have probable cause, which is what a police officer has to have to arrest someone. It's not that hard to get indicted.
