They are similar players. I like Jake RAC ability that we haven’t seen at TE in awhile. He’s a better blocker than Schultz too.
This is not a surprise everybody who saw Ferguson in a saw sample size last year knew he was taking Schultz job we all said it and here we are we got a cheaper and an improved version of Schultz which by the way I think maybe we locked out a little bit like we did with Randy Gregory Schultz turned down that long term deal offer last off season decided to play on the franchise tag and then got cut or he might still be here which would be fine because I think he's a solid guy but I think we again should appreciate the luck there..

Which makes that draft pick even more infuriating. And it's not hindsight. That was a dumb pick the night it happened. To reach that high for a TE and that one in particular. A guy that doesn't move the needle at all and has injury history. You could find a talent like his in the final day of the draft if you wanted.
There was nothing in Schooner's scouting report that suggested he was 2nd round talent, and nothing to say that he'd be better than Ferguson. Exceedingly dumb pick. Made no sense at the time and is getting worse.

That’s not true at all. I already think he’s past Shultz. Gives you same production as a wr and blocks way better than the ghost
But doesn't create separation near as well.

Although I thought it would an impossible get, I really think we need to call the Falcons about Pitts. They look awful with a QB who isn't reay to be a QB, and can only rely upon the run for yardage. The more that weeks go by and Pitts is rendered useless, the more I think he becomes expendable
He looks bad too though. He looks slow with no wiggle and his routes are sloppy.

LOL Y'all pick at each other a lot.

I really liked Ferguson last game. I liked him last year and was perfectly OK with him taking Schultz' spot. I didn't care for the Schoon pick then, or now. BUT, Risen's right that our current starting tight end doesn't stretch the field much. He's good, but not great at this point.

I am fully aware you can't have an all pro at every position. BUT I CAN STILL WANT AN ALL PRO AT EVERY POSITION. That doesn't cost anything extra and it doesn't mean I don't like the guy that's there.

Until we win in the post season again, I have to read every single post that says, "we should have done this", or "we should have done that," and admit that there's at least a chance they are right. We haven't won in almost 30 years. The only person that I know for a fact hasn't been right this whole time is Jerry.
Slurpie is mad that I called him out about his stanning of ferg so he made up in his mind that I like Schoon. When you lie you lose. He's unhinged about it that's all

In old man terns, he has an obsession with Ferguson. I hurt his feelings about it by making fun of him and then he fabricated a scenario that I'm a fan of schoonmaker.

The YAC has been impressive. As great as Jason Witten was at finding gaps in the defense, he couldn't even break tackles from CBs for most of his career.

He has a man-crush on Schoon that extends beyond this thread. I called him on it and he keeps trying to get explain himself to me which is adorable.

In life, whenever someone feels like they have to explain themselves to a stranger it tells you 1) they’re incredibly insecure; and 2) they understand the relationship dynamic (ie. that he’s the beta).

He’s been called out and has spent the rest of the thread lamely posturing and trying to save face.

:lmao2:
