da_whiz_kid;1528791 said:who's to say a guy in sweats doesn't have class, I'm not arguing that suits are classless, I'm saying that someone who is in a suit, isn't it always classy. Suits are worn to look nice or business like. The suit doesn't define class, BUT the suit is very nice and professional. And as far as my knowledge goes, Bill Belichek could be a very classy guy, but I'm not going to pass judgement, I haven't met him.

CanadianCowboysFan;1528912 said:Depends on who you are scoring with though doesn't it? Take it was Jessica Alba, probably is worth more than a football game BUT if it were say Roseanne Barr, then it is worth less.
It was very common for some coaches to wear suits during a game. Just because times have changed, it doesn't mean that wearing suits on sidelines is 'impractical'.CanadianCowboysFan;1528853 said:Suits on sidelines are totally impractical.

Jessica Alba?
CanadianCowboysFan;1528947 said:Ok tell you what, if you and I are at a bar and Roseanne and Jessica are willing to fornicate with us, you can have Roseanne and I will take Jessica. Deal?
A clipboard and play lists are held in your hands. A coach may have to put up with, say, wearing a mike belt around his waist, but what the hell does all that have to do with a coach wearing a suit?CanadianCowboysFan;1528945 said:Yeah but in the old days, you didn't have all the telecommunications equipment tieing you down, clipboards to hold, play lists etc
The game is more complex now.
I know CowboyFan has a soft spot for suits because of Tom but face it, times have changed. There were times when fans wore suits to sporting events and no fan gear. Would you wear a suit to a game now?
abersonc;1528898 said:Classy people can wear sweats. Sure.
But adults realize that there are places where you wear sweats and where you don't. I don't wear a suit to workout, so don't wear freaking sweats to a nice restaurant, ok?
Beli dresses like a freaking slob on the sidelines. To me, that is classless behavior that shows a lack of respect for the game.

The game has evolved. What the hell does that have to do with wearing a suit? Sure, John Madden may draw a key play on the vid screen for viewers, but will he use his electronic pen and magically erase a coach's suit???
I may not wish to wear a suit to a game, but how the hell does that stop a head coach like Nolan from wearing a suit?
CanadianCowboysFan;1529174 said:Why does Nolan insist on trying to wear a suit, oh yeah he is being a crap disturber and we all know what the NFL does to those types. I really don't give a crap if a coach wears a suit or not, but anyone who would rather wear a suit outdoors to coach a game (and remember if it is cold, throw on the topcoat and scarf to stay warm) than looser fitting fan gear is ********. I have to wear a suit to work every day and if there was a way I could get out of it and wear fan gear, I would in a second.

You sound like a real authority on mental stability. Most Canadians I know are liberal; few are as judgmental, unless they've been drinking heavily.CanadianCowboysFan;1529174 said:Why does Nolan insist on trying to wear a suit, oh yeah he is being a crap disturber and we all know what the NFL does to those types.
