Except the guy in the video/song was out to score, not to win a football game. He was also not standing outside in the rain/snow/sleet.

I don't know how it is up in Canada...but, I would rather score than win a football game! ;) You are stright, right?

who's to say a guy in sweats doesn't have class, I'm not arguing that suits are classless, I'm saying that someone who is in a suit, isn't it always classy. Suits are worn to look nice or business like. The suit doesn't define class, BUT the suit is very nice and professional. And as far as my knowledge goes, Bill Belichek could be a very classy guy, but I'm not going to pass judgement, I haven't met him.

Classy people can wear sweats. Sure.

But adults realize that there are places where you wear sweats and where you don't. I don't wear a suit to workout, so don't wear freaking sweats to a nice restaurant, ok?

Beli dresses like a freaking slob on the sidelines. To me, that is classless behavior that shows a lack of respect for the game.

Depends on who you are scoring with though doesn't it? Take it was Jessica Alba, probably is worth more than a football game BUT if it were say Roseanne Barr, then it is worth less.

Suits on sidelines are totally impractical.
It was very common for some coaches to wear suits during a game. Just because times have changed, it doesn't mean that wearing suits on sidelines is 'impractical'.

Yeah but in the old days, you didn't have all the telecommunications equipment tieing you down, clipboards to hold, play lists etc

The game is more complex now.

I know CowboyFan has a soft spot for suits because of Tom but face it, times have changed. There were times when fans wore suits to sporting events and no fan gear. Would you wear a suit to a game now?

A clipboard and play lists are held in your hands. A coach may have to put up with, say, wearing a mike belt around his waist, but what the hell does all that have to do with a coach wearing a suit?

The game has evolved. What the hell does that have to do with wearing a suit? Sure, John Madden may draw a key play on the vid screen for viewers, but will he use his electronic pen and magically erase a coach's suit???

I may not wish to wear a suit to a game, but how the hell does that stop a head coach like Nolan from wearing a suit?

I feel what you are saying. BUT what I'm saying is just because one wears a suit to the office doesn't make him classless, it makes him unprofeesional, inappropriate for the time. ok?

Why does Nolan insist on trying to wear a suit, oh yeah he is being a crap disturber and we all know what the NFL does to those types. I really don't give a crap if a coach wears a suit or not, but anyone who would rather wear a suit outdoors to coach a game (and remember if it is cold, throw on the topcoat and scarf to stay warm) than looser fitting fan gear is ********. I have to wear a suit to work every day and if there was a way I could get out of it and wear fan gear, I would in a second.

I've got some serious love for Nolan. He wants to honor his father by wearing a suit. That's not crap disturbing.

Separate the policies of the crap company you work for that thinks that a stable of dufi in synthetic fabric suits to build an image from the legitimate class that comes from dressing well.

Your sentence structure belies that there is a point to your sentence.

Wearing a suit on the sidelines does not imply or create class. Paris Hilton dresses well, does that give her class? Her mom Kathy Hilton dresses well, is she classy or is she just covering up the girl she always was, you know the one whose mom hired a neighbour to give Kathy sex lessons so she could get a rich man?

Ask yourself, as a fan, would you rather have mumbles in his ripped hoodies coaching your team or Nolan in an Armani suit?

Hes honoring tradition and those that came before him. Hank Stram and Tom Landry come to mind. i dont see the problem with that.

What he's doing is respectful and classy, something you wont understand.

You sound like a real authority on mental stability. Most Canadians I know are liberal; few are as judgmental, unless they've been drinking heavily.

I think it's comical that you're being forced to wear a suit. Maybe it's punishment for something you did earlier in life.

If you hate it that much, quit; someone with your qualifications would have no trouble finding a top-flight job in either the food service or housekeeping industries.

I agree but it's a tribute to his father Dick Nolan to be more precise.

As a fan I would like a coach who showed respect for the game by not wearing what he woke up in on the field.

Nolan can swing this however he wants, but the dude is full of himself. Are the suits nice...I guess, but for this to be an issue that even draws any attention at all is ridiculous. Throw some khaki's on with a team golf shirt...you are good.
