We need a #2, that's for sure...Williams makes the "great" catch here and there, but it is ALWAYS on broken plays...why is that?...he needs to be stuffed in a duffle bag with street, and left at the curb with a "free" sign attached

is Butler the answer? like others have said, put the work in and earn some time with Tony in the off-season and let's see...my preference is to use one of our early picks on a WR

Doubt it. Sounds like he does not have many supporters in the organization. Even Stephen Jones was pretty negative about his work ethic.

Hopefully they give Butler the offseason to develop better habits because he's shown he has talent and can contribute on game day. Street is useless.

Yes, if he puts in the work this off season and develops a rapport with Tony. Williams is solid #2 but there is nothing special about him and his contract will be up soon.

If by solid #2 you mean a POS then yes i agree, but the reality is Williams is way too inconsistent to be our #2 WR. The times Butler has played he's actually made some plays with our backup QBs, and i believe we would've beaten the Saints if he hadn't of hurt his hamstring after making that big catch.

LOL!

I mean he is a good second option but he'll never be a #1. His position is available for an upgrade whenever the opportunity arises.

Could and should be the #2 WR.

Are you that confident that a 26 year old WR who has averaged 10 catches and 195 yards through the first 3 years of his career is all of a sudden going to take the jump in 2016?

He has 8 catches for 198 yards this season -- basically his career average.

He averaged a paltry 225 yards per season in college at USC and San Diego State.

I think he has some nice attributes, however, the going back 7 years in the pros and college the production just has been never there.

Bring him to camp next season, but make him earn it. Butler as a #2 scares me.

I'd bring in a guy like Marvin Jones, and let Williams and Butler battle it out for the fourth WR position.

Excuse me! I didn't say he should be an all pro hall of famer. I'm aware of his collegete career and his lack of targets as a pro. You don't impress me by spouting off stats. Anyone that cares about such things knows how to get that information. The pool of WR we have now just isn't that good so BB, IMO is as good as any of them as a #2 WR.

You said he could and should be the WR2 next year.

I simply stated that it's probably hopeful that think a guy who has averaged about 210 yards receiving over the past 7 years he has been playing WR in college and the pros to all of sudden become something he's not.

I hope he shocks the world and becomes a clear cut WR2. I just wouldn't be on it.

In order for that to happen the coaches have to commit to playing the best no matter what ... do they do that now? I'm not sure, but I'd say no, really why is Street even on the team. And yes I think he deserves a shot at the number 2 spot.

As long as Witten is here and Romo is the qb he'll be the #2 receiver. Either way Brice Butler is average and if he's our so called #2 then we're in trouble. We need a legitimate threat besides Dez out there and Twil, Butler and the Beas won't cut it.

Stephen Jones called him out on not practicing hard enough, etc. I guess Devin Street gets it done in practice.

I will never understand, no matter what your circumstance is growing up, where you came from, rich, poor, middle class, college degree or not, star, great ability or marginal ability, why you would ever not bust your *** given the chance to make an NFL roster every single day. Whether it's a practice day in the middle of the season or a workout session in June.

The economics alone are staggering, but the prestige, pride, notoriety, sense of personal accomplishment and the doors that would be opened after your career are innumerable. You might even hate football - you would probably hate roofing too - but for high six figures I would bust it until I was able to do what I loved to do.

How, how, could you possibly squander/ignore that opportunity? What the hell is in your makeup that you shrug your shoulders, mail it in and go through the motions.

I will never understand and nobody could ever offer an explanation to me to where I would agree.

We need speed. Butler may have combine speed wearing shorts, but I don't see him running away from folks on the field. Speed Speed Speed. That's what we need more then anything because it will open up the entire offense. PS. A really fast big tight end would be pretty nice as well.

Hopefully we draft a deep threat in 2016. Someone who can stretch the field and open up the defense underneath.
