Hard to judge the offense because they were playing an elite defense
To be honest that's exactly what you should judge them on.

Haven't seen the game yet, will watch the replay tonight. But if the Browns defense is really as good as they say, then the offense did it's job. And nothing else counts.

Ryan Flournoy should play, our offense was shut down in the 2nd half because it was totally dependent on CD.no idea why Flournoy was inactive.

Yes. It is often the 5th receiver that makes a huge difference there.

he is not the 5th receiver, the Jalens cant get separation and Dak barely looks for them even when CD is doubled he throws it to him.One man offense will not win you close games.

That's what happens when Jerry wasted our 2024 4th round draft pick to trade for a bust QB from San Francisco.
Fair enough.

But how about praise for what might have been a top-three draft class compared to every other team in the league last spring?

The Cowboys landed, I believe, an elite 2024 draft class...all while drafting from the bottom of each round.

Four Cowboys rookies starting and holding their own in their first game as starters. Another rookie or two as role players. Very, very, very uncommon...and music for those who love the team.

The D stole the show. Kendricks, Overshown, Tank, and Parsons all had stand-out performances.

Best in offense - Lamb

Best on D - pretty much all of them.

ST- Aubrey and Turpin

Offensive line play was average to poor. They showed signs of being good. But for the 1st time out of the box I expected better. The run game was non existent. It seems like the Cowboys have a tell when it's a run play and the browns knew what it was.

Turpin looks like he’s now acclimated to the speed of the NFL. He was very decisive on that punt return, used his speed and got north and south right away. No bunny hop steps or trying to take it wide. Catch the ball and go!

The RBs only got 6 carries in the second half in a game where we had a big lead. They had 21 yards on the first 5 carries before Dowdle lost 2 yards on that last drive.

Big Mike is way too pass happy. He abandons the run every series as soon as they don’t pick up 5 yards on a carry. No reason at all to be passing on 3rd & 6 on that last drive. Keep the clock moving.
yeah, a bit strange, but also think that browns expected cowboys to run, to kill the clock, so they were loading up on the run, which allowed the passing game to be more open.
