No.

Haley, yes. He was a Cowboy. Started in SF, but gave his prime and his health, his back, to the Star.

Deon, no. Hall of Fame, yessir, great player, but not a Cowboy.

Dieon as first inductee for the 'Cowboys Ring of Mercenaries'... should the team start one of those? - maybe put it outside by 'temporary parking'.

No ...... he played most of his career as a 49'r

Dieon 'Both' Sanders played for most of fourteen seasons in the NFL over a period of about seventeen years - and was undoubtedly one of the best cover corners the game has ever seen. But he was a Forty-niner for only one of those seasons (their 'Steve Young' championship year right before Dallas picked up Sanders and won the title with him... SBXXX).

I was talking about Haley

A. We don't know what would have happened.

B. I would gladly give back that 95 super bowl if it meant sanders never played here.

Having to root for this guy was the worst stretch of being a fan of anything in my life.

I have a feeling you were celebrating like the rest of Cowboys nation when The Cowboys won that Super bowl in 95. When Deion caught that bomb from Aikman early in the game you know you were

For the people saying Haley shouldn't be in, he was the final piece for the 90s dynasty and without him they may not have won those 3 rings.

Larry Brown won the SB MVP. Very deserved. I'll always appreciate him in that game but he's no Charles Haley. I'll always consider Haley a Cowboy. If the 49ers want to claim him too then that's their business.

And that's just half of it.

Left Atlanta for its most hated rival. Left San Francisco for its most hated rival. Left Dallas for its most hated rival. Left Washington for its cross-town rival.

Best corner I ever saw, but a disgusting human being. Doesn't belong in the Ring.
He's a disgusting human being because he switched teams? You need to relax, dude.

Larry Brown didn't change the power of the NFC by switching teams from the 49ers to the Cowboys.
Neither did Deion. He wasn't going to play the 95 season and the niners didn't even make it to the NFC championship game. Deion didn't make us great in 95. A healthy Emmitt did, unlike 94.

He shouldn't be... but they put Haley in so I'm not sure what the objection would be.

A little different in that Haley made us SB contenders and winners. Deion came to the team that already won two SBs and should have had three, in a row if the ref called PI on Deion.

That being said I do agree that people don't give our defense a lot of credit overall. Kevin Smith was as much a lockdown corner as Deion until he blew his Achilles and has back injuries. He used to shut down Jerry Rice and Rice use to get angry. If he never got hurt that backfield with Deion and Smith would probably had been the greatest ever.

We had the fasted LBs out there and Jimmy basically changed the whole perspective of defense, going with guys that could fly horizontally. We use to swarm to the ball. Our defensive line was always throwing in guys in and out and others did their jobs well. The depth was off the charts.

Actually the niners beat us in the 1995 NFC Championship game and lost to the Packers in 1996 the year Deion LEFT them and signed with us, and as far as not playing, If you believe that I got an ocean paradise in New Jersey I can sell you cheap.

Whose ring of honor should he be in? He was never a Cowboy; just a selfish mercenary.

It doesn't matter any more, Jerry Jones destroyed the exclusivity of the Ring of Honor when he had Haley inducted. Haley is in the 49ers Hall of Fame, he was a Cowboy for five seasons, started 12 or more games only twice during that time.

Then Jerry retaliated against Drew Pearson for not giving in to him on some business arrangement. clearly Drew belongs in the Ring of Honor.

Jerry fully intends to saturate the Ring of Honor with players from his era in an attempt to lend creditability to the absurd notion that he was just as relevant as Tom Landry or tex Schram.
