I appreciate Sanders as a player and what he did for our team, probably the best corner I have ever witnessed. He was even dynamic on ST's and contributed in many more ways that just his skill. He had that confident edge that rubbed off on everyone around him. He played 5 years for Dallas and ATL.....the most of his career. The rest were short stints. If Atlanta wasn't on his resume, then I would say yes to the ring but another year or two in Dallas would solidify that.

So, he should not be in our ring of honor because he will always be remembered as a Falcon. Now, if he came to Dallas in, lets say, 1992 or 1993.....that is a different topic and I would say yes then.....would put him at 7 or so years with us.

He helped us get one ring but not three, heck....he even stopped us from getting another! Sanders was a headhunter....shopping himself to other teams with little loyalty to his current employer.

The ring of honor to me is someone who played the majority of their career in Dallas and was instrumental to great seasons......that is not Deion.

Haley falls in the gray area for me. He was the missing piece best remembered for being a Niner but he brought rings to Dallas.

Imo, no he is not a true Cowboy. It would be like putting A-Rod in memorible park out in right field.

Not at all.

I haven't read any responses on here yet, but I'm curious what the blend is.

No!Deion was a great corner but not a great Cowboy. He was a mercenary. Absolutely no place on the Cowboy ring of honour for Sanders. I liked what he did form the club but players like Harvey Martin are far far more deserving. Heck, Danny White gave a lot more to the Cowboys than Sanders
Is moose in the ring of honor? If not he needs to be

I think it's more appropriate for him to be in Atlanta's ring of honor and not necessarily ours. It's not like he's hurting for honors.

I wouldn't mind since he did contribute to a championship but I think it would sort of devalue what they have made the Ring of Honor into. Sanders is a Falcon or a 49er IMO.

Haley was instrumental.

Deion was a tool. He helped cost us SB29.
Debatable. Haley missed an entire season's worth of games, was lackluster against the run, and was (literally) a mental patient In the locker room. His contribution has become wildly overrated because of a few quotes by Jimmy. The Cowboys had an extremely talented defense and I never felt any of their titles hinged on an injury-prone pass rushing specialist. It just doesn't hold up to reality. Haley's brilliance was always in his amazing first 5 years in San Fran. We got the washed up version.
So even though I hated Deion before he came, loved him when he was with the team, and hated him again instantly after he left... looking at RoH history I would not object to his induction. He is one of the best players in NFL history, he was here long enough by the Jerry standard, and he helped win a Super Bowl. The end.

Couldn't disagree more.
I'm going with Jimmy, you know, the coach in the locker room.
And with what I saw.

Washed up version. Cute. Untrue... but still cute.

I always find great humor when fans do the revisionist.... or is it creationist history and devalue a contributor.

For some reason the 90s teams and players are targeted.... a lot!

Jimmy - insert all the nonsense lines here _______, __________, ________ blah blah blah
Aikman - system
Emmitt - Oline
Irvin - overrated
