Oh, my God -- here he is, saying it'd be a dream come true, if he gets to become a Cowboy.
Now, lo and behold, here he is, being interviewed. I'd welcome him with open arms!
Well I have been somewhat admittedly standoffish, but if @Bullflop is endorsing then its good enough for me.

If there was a chance of that happening, it would have BEFORE they just guaranteed Smith’s money. That ship has sailed.

Yeah, I think this is the stuff of pipe dreams. The only way we would bring in Wright is if we don't really plan to use Neal at linebacker. Our starting linebackers are set with Neal, LVE, Smith. Some are having a hard time accepting that.

I'm not saying that because I wouldn't love for Dallas to sign Wright. It's just the evidence doesn't support it.

KJ Wright is old and slow. He is slower than the one legged and broke neck mountain LBs on the roster. He came in the league 1 year after Sean Lee.

He absolutely fits on the field.

Now in regards to the cap, well let's just say he makes Stephen Jones uncomfortable with his pricetag.

He has already gone on record saying he would not give the Seahawks a hometown discount.
Yes he definitely fits on the field. Signing him would put me in a good mood. Knows the defense and knows how to win. 2 things our current LBers don't know.

This signing would make sense but I don't see how they use all the pieces. Would they pay big money to people and only use them part-time? Wright isn't young so he isn't the long term solution either.

If you were ok with the Cowboys taking a lineman high in the draft then you should be ok with paying one. Keanu Neal, LVE and Jaylon Smith could all be gone next year and besides that none can really be counted on this year for different reasons.

Don’t see how he’d fit?? He’d instantly be our best LB and Neal our 2nd. IF they sign him, Jaylon’s a post 6-1 casualty.

Not after they just guaranteed Jaylon all that money.

He instantly is our best LB at 5-6 per year, and it’s not close. He 5X better than Jaylon and LVE. How do either one of those not fit?

It's not about Wright's ability, it's about what has already been invested in the linebacker group. If they had done this BEFORE they guaranteed Jaylon's money, I could see it.

I'm glad to see that someone else understands exactly where I'm coming from.

I can't take this as fact until dak attack reports his insider knowledge on the matter.

They are just talking and not signing KJ Wright. Don't get your hopes up.

We signed all these guys to sit them all?
We like our guys. We want to save them. We are collecting guys to put them on a shelf for later. Much later. Later than any of us know. We will need them. We are going to prepare for the injury monsoon coming like last year. Big Mike is not going to make the same mistake twice .He has a 90 man roster to fill. I see what we are doing. So should we all.

I mean, there was an article recently that we're still looking to bounce between 4-3 and 3-4. Having another starting LB would certainly give us flexibility

I hear the cash registers ringing in the background. He must be baiting another team to raise their offer to him by mentioning he dreams about being a Cowboy. He loves Jerrahs money. Chaching baby.baby needs a new pair of shoes. Roll the dice.

You run multiple defenses for a multitude of situations and purposes.
We currently have Jaylon, LVE, and a box safety whom they will use at WLB in situations. That’s all we have besides some special teams bums who don’t even make plays there!
1 LB who is often injured, was only exceptional when playing outside one year.
1 LB who also had only one good year, overpaid, and probably best when used in specific situations that fit his best skills.
1 SS who is going to play some WLB, but will also be the #1 backup to Wilson.

And some of you guys don’t think we can find a place for KJ Wright? What are you smoking? Besides Wright, Jaylon, and LVE being the only 3 true LBs on the team who can back each other up and rotate into situations that allow them to excel based on their strengths, Wright is clearly the best of the bunch.

I’m sure we shared our interest and our max low offer for 1 year, and if he doesn’t get the contract he wanted, he may sign with us. Even then, we better draft another LB, one who can do more than play special teams. If you want to risk the 2021 season thinking you only need Jaylon, LVE, and Neal as starting LBs, even with a better DL, any long or short term injury will show you otherwise. We must sign a veteran LB capable of getting the job done.....unless we plan to draft one early on day 1 or 2 of the draft.

How does he not fit on the field in the scheme he played in and thrived under Quinn in Seattle? He’s the FA I’ve most wanted us to sign.

Which high-cost current linebacker sits?

LVE?

Smith?

Just signed Keanu Neal?
