I think it’s the contested catch ability about Hopkins specifically that I would argue is a difference maker- I don’t think we really have a big bodied guy that can go up and get the contested catches anywhere near what he could…certainly would add another dimension to the offense, but as you mentioned so would Henry or a dynamic te.
Your quarterback doesn’t like to throw those types of passes.

The one thing I liked about Cooper Rush is he would try to draw flags by giving wideouts a chance to make plays.

Dak doesn’t do that much.

Had the Cooks trade not occurred I think it would have been a good possibility. However, now I think it's extremely unlikely considering the money the Cowboys will have tied up in their top 3 WRs.
Not just that, but didn't McCarthy mention not so long ago that they were going to run a lot this year? If so, how do you justify signing him?

I think Gallup and his contract are the biggest problems that kill any chances we’d try to go get him. I think they keep TY on speed dial and can’t imagine the FO will even seriously consider Hopkins but guarantee Hopkins’s agent is doing a whisper campaign and mentioning the Cowboys.

I have no idea where the link is from 2023, but someone posted his comments after the season and he was continuing to say Zeke wasn’t done in Dallas.
All I heard him report was that last year would probably be his last year in Dallas.

He broke exactly zero about any of them.

As technology (and time) has advanced, he has become even more irrelevant.

He is an info predator who stalks poor old Cowboys fans that believe he has the scoop.
Actually, he gives excellent info and he is funny. He just reports what is out there and points out the nonsense.

I know it doesn't make sense to pay Gallup that much to be a 4th WR. I'm not suggesting it as a template but this is the opportunity at hand. You add Hopkins and now you've put yourself in position to be one of the favorites to win a title.

That's how paying a 4th WR that kind of salary makes sense for this year. The Lombardi Trophy.

Are there enough balls to go around? No. This isn't about shifting the offensive philosophy away from the running game. Everyone would have to sacrifice personal stats for the overall good of the offense. This is about taxing playoff defenses with just too many weapons to account for on the field.

Tony Pollard can make a play to win a game. CeeDee Lamb can make a play to win a game. Brandin Cooks can make a play to win a game. DeAndre Hopkins can make a play to win a game. These guys not only can but they thrive on it. They're playmakers.

That's a lot for any playoff defense to handle. To the point of system failure I believe and we haven't even accounted for the new annoying gnat running around the field. You ever try to tackle a midget? They are amazingly elusive. Like Rocky and the chicken.

Upset the apple cart and go for it.
Dak can use 4 wide open windows to throw to, especially playoff time. Jerry do it...

He never said that in this video from last year. Don’t pay attention to the OP’s comments he got it wrong, just watch the video. Not sure if you saw the link the first time I posted it. This was from training camp. You need to speed up the video a little, but he starts talking about Zeke not being done and returning next season. Scan through the thread, and read my comments. About two weeks before Zeke was released Fish tweeted that he didn’t believe he would be released. He was dead wrong!

The Dak haters seriously need to rethink wanting Hopkins. If Hopkins gets brought in by the Cowboys, the starting 4 WRs will be: CeeDee, Gallup, Cooks and Hopkins. They all are going to want the ball thrown to them, thus Dak is going to have to become more pass heavy than before. That's the worse case scenario for them Dak haters. Careful what you ask for.
