1. Bijan RB
2. Mayer TE
3. Wright OL
4. WR
5. Drew Sanders LB

From what I understand what's being reported from media and ex players that are around the team on their shows podcasts and the fan. This is most likely the targets for 26. Sanders sounds like the Zack Martin pick. If everybody is gone that's the pick.

The real question is if Mayer and Wright are both there who do you pick. I have to go wright.
I'd be fine with Wright, but I'd love it if it was Mayer. I know TE isn't a huge need, but my goodness! A trio of Gibbs, Ferguson, and Hendershot would be the deadliest TE trio in the league, not to mention that he can serve as an extra tackle in the run game.

I think Mayer is going to end up being the pick. Safe pick. Like the Frederick and Martin pick. Safe and just plug and play.

I looked at 2 hl reels, and he looks better than bijan, looks stronger and quicker burst, good moves and good speed, doesnt go down easy.
Well, explosive guys should look pretty good on "highlight reels"...

I know it's Fish but I've been asking the same question. I mean could he be the player they are hiding? He's such a great pass catcher that you could argue using him as an RB, slot receiver and/or WR. Imagine moving his kind of speed all around the offense.......with Pollard on the field. LOL, defensive coor would be like ........:banghead::banghead:

Cowboys Draft RB Rumor: What If It’s Jahmyr Gibbs, Not Bijan Robinson?

The Dallas Cowboys have been rumored to be interested in Texas Longhorns star Bijan Robinson, but what if Dallas takes a different running back in Alabama's Jahmyr Gibbs?

Hes a Pollard clone. What would be the point. And again, no to a RB in the first. Kendra Miller will be a better RB than Gibbs.

Stop looking at highlight reels. If you want to really see him, type in Jahmyr Gibbs vs in YouTube and you will get game videos of him thru the whole game focusing just on him. You see the good and the bad.

I think Miller is going to bomb. He looks too stiff. His style is easy to hit in the nfl. I'd like abanikanda over miller.

Ezekiel Elliot is 27.

I think it would be stupid to give Pollard a long term deal after this season.

You draft Gibbs and you move on.

You avoid paying a aging RB and you replace him with a bigtime talent for cheap.
Go look at the touches difference between Elliot and pollard. Keep getting more extreme dude. I agree if they drafted him you'd move on from Pollard in 2024. But he won't be, and I think they still move on, and draft another or we could see Davis playing. They like him.

I’d be great with Gibbs at 26. He’s going to be such a weapon. He can take a little dump off and turn it into an explosive play.

If he is the pick, then the defense won’t be able to relax when Pollard isn’t in the game. Last year, when Pollard went out, defenses didn’t have to worry about Elliott gashing them. They could just flood the passing lanes and if it was a handoff to Zeke, they weren’t scared of that.

San Francisco pretty much said that last year in the Divisional Playoff game, and once Pollard was out of the game, their defense had it made.

Add Cooks at WR and Gibbs at RB to that playoff game and it is an entirely different story.

Yes I’d like Gibbs at 26.

Same here, if he's available. It makes all sorts of sense, and he'd help us immediately in many ways. Not to mention that I think he'd be our next great TE following Novacek and Witten.

Interesting. First person to ever describe him like that. I see Miller as incredible balance and hard to get down. Fast with great vision. Can do it all. Outside, inside, short yardage, GL, big plays.

I really like Isreal as well. My two favorite 3rd or 4th round guys. The only issue with Isreal is his competition was mostly bad. He had 7 TD's against Rhode Island and Las Vegas in two games. Most of those highlights are from those two games.

He runs upright, for his size he's not a bruiser. I dont know if he'd get them tough yards Elliot got. Kinda the deal with these tcu players. Bigger guys that don't have that big player mentality.

Defensive coordinators will rest easy at night if we draft a ho hum athlete in Mayer with our first pick.

We should be drafting difference makers in round 1.

Not TEs that are bad value.
I know you don't like the player but I'm not convinced that's true. Make the case though I'm curious what leads you to that conclusion.

What does Gibbs bring ... that Pollard does not ?

Same type players

Using a first round pick on a speedy finesse all purpose back.. that we already have ..?

And Pollard is a Pro Bowler now. He's awell known weapon around the NFL now.

I like him starting in round 2 or a trade down and getting more picks.

Mayer as just a straight up pick does nothing for me and all it does for Dallas is give them a solid TE for a decade.

Same thing.

Just fresher legs and lower cap hit.

You let Pollard walk after this season.

Gibbs is an elite receiver. Elite speed on outside rushes. Has an extra gear at top that Pollard doesn’t. That’s no knock on Tony as he’s yet to be caught from behind.

He’s the X factor you put him out there and defenses don’t know to stop him.

He takes the screens, the tosses, runs routes etc.

If you watch film and Alabama struggled, they would give him the ball and he’d make plays.
