I fully expect our cornerbacks to be worked over. The rookies got next to no meaningful reps in preseason/practice and no familiarity with proven NFL talent ala OBJ and Marshall.

Is that sarcasm? Honestly, I'm excited to see JS play, but wonder if it's more about Durant NOT being able to play and us going with the best option available. It would be great to see JS do well from the very start.

I'm surprised to see that Lewis is active. Probably just special teams though... for now.

Wasn't really sarcasm. I just hope Jaylon improves as the season goes on.

Lewis returned kicks in high school and college, but I don't know if he'll do that with the Cowboys.

Frankly, I'd be surprised if Awuzie and Lewis even play a lot. Rod is going to ride his "vet presence" Nolan Carroll. Brown will be the third CB and I suspect if we go dime, we'll see someone like Frazier as the 6th DB.

I keep hearing about generational talent and how he was maybe the best player in the draft last year. I didn't see that from the film. He's good but I don't think he's what he's hyped as

Same here.

I think Carroll - like Kellen Moore - will have to repeatedly stink on the field during games that count - before the team would grudgingly pull him and play someone else.

I'm a fan of both guys. I just hope what I saw from Jaylon in run defense in college isn't an issue now. Too many arm tackles. I want him to be a pro bowler day 1. I don't care about being wrong

I should've worded it differently. I don't mean they are rushing him, I mean he must be ready because there is no need to rush him so they wouldn't.

That one would be a shocker for me. After all of the time missed, I don't expect Lewis to be active. If he is, why bother to trade for Benwikere at all?

I need to see another source confirm that news.

Would surprise me if either would play more than special teams. Scandrick, Carroll and Brown are our top three and Awusie would be next in.
