I think he has to be active for 4 games.Do you know what the terms are on the trade for him? I don't remember.

The rookies will get next to no reps against OBJ or Marshall; Scandrick, Carroll, and Brown will be shouldering that responsibility the majority of the time.I fully expect our cornerbacks to be worked over. The rookies got next to no meaningful reps in preseason/practice and no familiarity with proven NFL talent ala OBJ and Marshall.
Considering the coaching staff and how well our secondary played last year I have nothing but confidence in our young secondary.Corner is my big concern, as well. It could get ugly. On the other hand, they may surprise us and ball out! Got my fingers crossed...
I'll weigh in on this and say that I don't expect to see them "a lot", but I do expect they'll be rotated in on several occasions. It'll be on those occasions that I get a little worried. I live in the "Show me" state, so I need to see some evidence that they are up to the task before I start putting a lot of faith in their abilities.
Too busy working the playmakers investigation right now.Funny how Nolan is still not suspended. If he was good he would of had that crap slapped on him with the quickness
If he's on the 46-man (gameday active) roster at least four times this season then the Bengals get a sixth round pick in 2019.
You'er probably on the mark here. He actually played more in the PS games than I thought he would. I'm certainly no expert, but he didn't seem to have great lateral movement from what I saw. I'm guessing i was wrong, because I highly doubt that the coaches would put him out there for significant snaps were the not certain he could be effective.the cowboys have taken such a cautious route with Jaylon that this really is not that big of a deal. They were being very conservative and thus were probably not all that worried about having him do more with Hitchen's injury.
I'm also all warm and fuzzy inside, and it's not the alcohol! This news makes me happy.
Although I suspect Lewis hardly plays.

IM looking forward to seeing Jaylon Smith take over the "Shark" Role from Durant when they play it.
I wonder what would have happened had a guy like smith been playing that spot last year on that final Green Bay drive.
That means he could play zero snaps, or more than one snap. That's going out on a limb. LOLI doubt Lewis plays a single snap Sunday.

Yep, they will be the primaries.Same here, but I'm fully expecting Carroll, Scandrick, and Brown to be on the field and not the rookies.

I completely agree that the mental hurdle is the taller one at this point. But the only way he clears that hurdle is by being on the field and actually competing. I think that once the whistle blows and he lays a hit on someone (and someone lays one on him), he'll be fine in that regard. I just want to see him get through game one physically healthy with a few stats to reward his hard work and persistence. I think he's going to be a greater contributor this year than many seem to be thinking.I think any issues with him will be mental and not physical.
They could plan to keep him inactive for a few weeks in case of injuries. Probably not a bad depth piece to have waiting in the wings.Thanks.
To me, that's just another indicator that he's nothing more than a temporary stopgap.
And it wouldn't shock me if they cut him before this game if they are, in fact, planning to have Lewis active.
I mean, he'd be the 4th corner so he wouldn't be out there for too many snapsThat one would be a shocker for me. After all of the time missed, I don't expect Lewis to be active. If he is, why bother to trade for Benwikere at all?
I need to see another source confirm that news.
