Flacco > Romo?

That wasn't the Titans offense going up and down the field on the Ravens' defense at home, was it? That Justin Gage is a terror. Bo Scaife, Brandon Jones, Lendale White, Chris McKerins (?), ect.. Their best player is a rookie. Your $ 3 million dollar offensive coordinator had much more talent on offense than the Titans have. The Titans don't run a Tecmo Bowl offense and have a Tecmo Bowl mentality.

The Cowboys offense showed up late in the fourth quarter. They didn't do anything until the Cowboys "figured them out" late. The only thing that the offense did was cash in a 4 yard drive after a DeMarcus Ware sack and forced fumble. Then, they took the rest of the game off until the Dallas safeties were exposed, and the Cowboys defense looked ragged after being on the field most of the game.

I had Flacco on a list in reply to a thread regarding the top 5 current QBs and was lambasted for it a month ago. Does anyone still think Flacco is just an average run of the mill QB?

Flacco protects the ball. Perhaps he should teach that skill to our 67 million dollar man.
Flacco did nothing special today. He pretty much played the role of Trent Dilfer. Managed the game, made no mistakes & let the running game, Defense & the Kicker win the game. He got very lucky with the TD pass. The difference between Flacco & Romo is that Romo isn't EXPECTED to manage the game. He's EXPECTED to PASS on EVERY PLAY.

The Titans turned the ball over in their opponents red-zone. The Ravens lucked out plain and simple. It had nothing to do with Flacco. They scored 13 points total. The Titans should have had at least 24 points.

Great point. Although I dont know if I can say the Ravens lucked out. They did force the turnovers.

I would have been by sooner, but I was cutting up some Pacman clips for the show tonight.

And that Pacman is one funny guy.

It's sad really. How that guy made it through college... it's beyond comprehension.. Well, I do know how a guy like that makes it though college. Sadly, talent overrules academics in some cases.

Thank you. Another one that sees the light.

Romo isn't a rookie either. Let's not forget that one little detail.

Perhaps he should be treated as one. Maybe we'll win more games.

Tony Romo needs a running game to reign him in. You give Romo a running game, we wouldn't even have this discussion. Cad Cameron runs the ball with his rookie QB and takes shots every now and then, not all the time. That is why the rookie doesn't turn the ball over like Romo... Hell, Marino had games where he just kept throwing INTs, and he could never win the big one because he didn't have a running game... Elway was the same way...

Unless our OC tries to run the ball, this discussion will continue...

So, to be more correct... He needs an OC that's willing to go with a good mix of run/pass and isn't afraid to stick with the run when the going gets a little tough. He needs an OC with the intestinal fortitude to not let opposing DCs take him completely out of his game plan.

He doesn't need a running game. He already has one.

but when he absolutely had to make a play he made it while under pressure to the tight end with a perfect pass, even though it should have been delay of game. Not bad for the second round of the playoffs for a rookie from a small school that didn't get 4 years to stand on the bench and learn.

Your veiled post. It's all good. :)

This entire thread is veiled. I don't even know that TO would go to these lengths to protect himself.

"Oh...Romo took someone's head off with a bus while Flacco's bus ride feels like you're driving a Mercedes"

*5 minutes later*

"Now...WHEN did I say I wanted Flacco over Romo???"

There was no real pressure on that play... It was a nice play though on his part, though it never should have happened...

That is what I mean...

We have the RBs in place... Our OC chose not to employ it...

I never said I wanted Flacco over Romo...

I did point out some interesting differences.. At least they're interesting to me. Don't get all wadded up over it.

Everybody is better than Romo. Don't believe it? Ask a bunch of posters at the Cowboys Zone. They'll tell ya.

Unbelievable, isn't it....

Hell, he got hit as soon as he threw it.
