Bad luck. Seems like the Flyers have always had a black cloud of bad luck following them. The Lindberg death. Bad injuries cutting the careers short for Bob Dailey, Tim Kerr and Lindros... Even Pronger's injury this year.

Tim Kerr is my favorite Flyer. The guy was a beast.

What a series so far.

The Penguins are better, but the Flyers are showing more heart and grit.

The Penguins thought they were better.. that's why they're getting embarassed. Even with awful, one sided officiating, we're still killing them.

The Pens aren't done, Biggems. But of course today's game is an obvious must win.

They're the best offense in the league but they won't win this series unless they clean it up defensively. I believe they were playing 5 forwards on the power play the last game and got burned with those short handed goals.

Neither team is playing much defense. I think the key to this series so far is Sean Couturier's play. He has done a tremendous job of frustrating Malkin. A 19 year old kid against the best player in hockey this year.

Your MVP needs to step it up before it's too late.

Actually, that accurately describes the Flyers for the rest of the postseason, not the Pens.

As much as I despise the Flyers I LOVE seeing them beat the crap out of little Mario.

I look at the Flyers roster, compared with anyone else's and I don't see a lot of difference between the Flyers and the other top teams.

He is playing very good....at least compared to Fleury.....18 goals in 3 games is beyond atrocious. Johnson gave up 2 more.

While Bryz has given up a lot of goals, he is going up against one of the best offenses in the league.....he is also making some outstanding stops.

I am very disappointed with the Pens. Not only are they getting their butts handed to them in every way.....now they resort to cheap shots and dirty play. I could see doing this if Philly was playing dirty, but they aren't. The Flyers are playing good, physical hockey. On Sunday, the Pens proved the Flyers own them physically and mentally. It is embarrassing to say the least.

So on Wednesday, my hockey season will come to a close. What a bummer. They were the hottest team in the league, and then in the final 2 weeks, they hit a lull, and have been struggling ever since.

I would like to say I have hope for Wednesday's game, but I don't. They don't defend. They don't goaltend. They turn the puck over like they are giving away free meals on Thanksgiving. They take stupid, untimely penalties that to PP opportunities and goals for Philly. So no, I have no hope for Wednesday.

this series is killing me.

The Pens are the better team, hands down, but they Flyers are matching up well with them, at least after the first period.

The Pens are 6-1 after the first period in this series, but 2-11 in the other two periods and overtime.....you cannot get dominated like that on the scoreboard and expect to win a series.

Last night was just pitiful. Their special teams play was horrid. To give up 2 short handed goals and a PP goal in the same game is absolutely unexceptable. They are absolutely careless with the puck....too many turnovers in their own zone, leading to easy scoring chances for the Flyers. Unlike Mike Tyson, their defense is very pregnable, and the Flyers are finding so many holes, it might as well be swiss cheese. Then you have Fleury who will not control the puck. Instead he allows rebound after rebound and the Flyers exploit it for second chances and goals.

The Flyers led the league in victories when trailing after 1 period (20). So far in this series they have 2. In last nights game, they said the Flyers have never lost a series when leading 2-0. It looks like the Pens are done. However, if there is one team who has the firepower to come back from this deficit, it is the Penguins. If they can find the game they had prior to Crosby coming back, they will definitely win this series.....the problem is, finding that game.

Props to the Flyers, as much as I hate them, they have definitely taken it to my Pens.......but now it is time for them to come back down to Earth......it is time for my birds to take over......

2008–09 season: Third Stanley Cup for those Pens! Now you know how us Flyers fans felt when your "birds" swept us in 6 games. I betcha when the Flyers beat those Pens in that first game of your new stadium, it kinda reminded you of Eli when he came to our 'boys new stadium.:

It's all in fun. You guys have 3 cups, the Fly guys (2 cups) haven't done anything since the '70's. Would love for them to win another cup, it would just be another thorn in the E-gals side hehe.

Definitely agree, i don't see many rosters that compare with ours 4 lines deep.. and we don't even have room right now for some guys who were very good role players throughout the season, like Harry Z, Bourdon, and Sestito.. not to mention Meszaros, Rymer, Pronger, etc..

I don't think that's the issue. I think it's just a combination of playing the most prolific offense in the league and the fact that he isn't a very good goalie. He can get hot and play out of his mind, but he's just as likely to stink up the joint.

He hasn't stunk up the joint at any point so far this playoffs. He's played well and made some very tough saves.

several of your goals are of the same accord.....goals scored after careless turnovers.....some of which on PP situations. 3 shorthanded goals this series for you guys.....just pitiful puck control by the Pens.

still, many of the goals scored are a result of butter gloves Fleury. As the announcer keeps saying, Fleury lets the puck bounce off him for juicy rebounds, instead of securing it. If he would just secure the puck, this is a whole different series. Instead, all those juicy rebounds are leading to Flyers' goals.

I remember that series, it was awesome. I loved taking you guys out....Philthy (cause I hate every team Philthy), Washington(mainly because of #8), and Detwaw (always hated them, they remind me of the Soviets) are the 3 teams I hate the most, though the Rangers have now entered into the mix, but only cause they are really good right now.
