For 2023 to be a success, the Cowboys must reach the NFCGC

The NFC is really down overall. Once you get past Phil, SF and Dallas there’s not much.

AFC is so much stronger. And have all of the Elite QB’s.

What other teams in NFL publicly have an owner or GM who set these type of objectives?

And why this is nothing more than our owners typical hype to promote his product to generate interest spurring revenue.

He’s nothing more than a glorified pimp.

I’d have to look it up but I’d bet there’s been no Cowboys team in franchise history who has had three 12 win seasons without at least a championship appearance .

This team could have definite historical notations before it’s through.
If ya can't tell Rambo here has fully accepted the Jerry Jones idea of success.

Rings don't matter.

No, expecting that is not unreasonable because some expect that every season.

The roster being marginally better has yet to be proven and the depth on this team at critical positions like OL and WR is likely to get tested. And they still have a ? at PK.
PK is definitely an issue and TE could end up being an achilles heel, but I do not see how returning every other starter outside of Dalton Schultz + adding Cooks and Gilmore + a full complement of draft picks could result in this roster being anything but at least slightly improved over last season. Of course, significant injuries in enough key spots could blow this all up, but every single team in the NFL lives with that risk every season.

I would not be shocked if Dallas makes the NFCCG, but I could also very much see another wildcard or divisional exit happening too. What is worth noting is that this team will probably be good enough to be considered a real contender and the NFCCG and beyond is definitely within the range of reasonable outcomes.

There is also no other fan base that fully embraces this weak mindset.

They have become comfortable in the mediocrity.

Don't they have to beat a QB less SF team to do that?

Just winning a divisional round playoff game would be a success. The Cowboys haven’t done that since the 1995 season.

How many more years are we going to make empty threats like this...they are soooo played out....nothing ever happens when the team and/or player (Dak) falls short. The only thing missing was that the OP didn't add "or else" at the end of the header. I really don't care anymore.

I concur. I am spreading false propaganda about the most successful GM in NFL history. He is on a 27 year hot streak and this year will be even more special.
3rd year in a row with double digit wins.
