Seriously. Rumors were flying out of NY that he was done and the Giants were considering drafting a QB high.
Too bad they didn't. But Papa Eli might have had something to say to Mara and his GM, much like he did when they drafted Rivers and traded for the prodigal son, Eli.

I can't see him running a WCO. He's not accurate.

They drafted the Syracuse kid last year and brought in a fairly young Freeman this year.
But he really did have to deal with an online last year similar to what Romo had for about 3 years--and Romo never had a season remotely as bad as what Eli had under those circumstances.

Surprisingly accurate, I'm honestly shocked. I'd slide Luck down into tier 2, probably tied with Rivers, but realistically that's nitpicking.

I think the Foles commentary is spot on (a 3 who can play as a 2 or a 4)

I don't see Ryan being as good as Romo etc. Maybe it's just me. I think the others can be argued. I think Luck is a tad overrated here still but he's not far off.

Surprised RG3 was rated so low, but I don't necessarily disagree. I'm just used to seeing him hailed as a hero.

I like Tony but I'd take Luck over him.

If Romo is 100% healthy, then Romo is the better QB. I'd still take Luck though because he's younger, talented, and not coming off a major back injury. There's only 1 QB I'd take over Luck right now and that's Aaron Rodgers.

I have no problem with the list other than the guy doesn't want to assign a 1-4 ranking on those QBs so he puts tied for 1. That's the weak way out. Pick a guy as your true number 1 and own it.

BTW out of the guys he put in that list, factoring in everything as of the here and now, I'd take Rodgers as #1 and roll with him. All 4 of them are amazing but taking into account age and everything I'd roll with Rodgers as the #1 guy.

Its not "a guys" ranking its several GM's and player personnel/ Scouts ranking and its a score... so if they tie, its because the actual score ties. Not that he don't want to pick.

Find a tie breaker then. Having 4 guys tied is a weak way of saying they can't decide how to break the tie up or they're afraid of being slammed because they dared to put someone over Tom Brady or Peyton Manning.

There is always a way to break those ties and it just looks lazy, IMO, to tie 4 people for the same position.

I think the top half or so is very fair. I probably wouldn't put Luck up there in the top tier yet. Seven INTs in two playoff games? Imagine if Tony did that.

Got to two playoff games or throw 7 INTs?

I don't disagree, I was simply pointing out that it was a legit "scored" tie.

Explaining the tiers
i
T-8. Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys (2.23 average rating)

A few evaluators questioned whether Romo had the mind-set to play at the highest level consistently. It's a familiar refrain in league circles, a feeling that Romo is an undisciplined QB playing for an undisciplined organization with a poorly constructed roster.

"People want to knock him," one GM responded, "but the guy has talent and is one of the top 10 starters in the league."

Romo is 34 years old and coming off back surgery, but he still could be in line for a "monster" season, one evaluator said. "But I absolutely believe they will not win big with him. As soon as he decides it's a clutch moment, his brain goes elsewhere. He loses focus and tries to create something."
.

This is one of the truest statements I have read lately,,,,,its exactly what the cowboys have been, are and headed under Jones, Garrett and the Romo regime ....undisciplined and loses focus....... says it all
