I think you guys are over simplifying it, if you spit on someone intentionally or not you apoligize. And assuming he admitted intentionally spitting on someone when he never ever did is what I take umbrage with. The fact that when questioned about it off camera he says he never meant to do it, changes things in my opinion. No one wants to give the guy the benefit of the doubt. I don't know what happened but I am willing to suspend my TO hate long enough to give the guy the benefit.

If Terry Glenn got up and made the same statement that TO made then I would expect Glenn to get fined. What is so hard? Stop the nonsense! If, after Deions explanation of the seriousness of the situation, all T.O. says is that "I apologized for that" - that is all that needs to be heard.

If there was any accidental nature, that would have been the time to say so.

Not defending TO, even if I think the situation is quite stupid, but if a big wad of spit flies out of your mouth while you're talking to another person and hits them square in the face, you apologize. Even if you're in an argument with them. That's common courtesy.
