Lets see,

Deangelo Hall said you spit in his face.

T.O. - "yeah he was aggravating me - I apologize for that".

What is wrong with you?:bang2: :bang2: :bang2: :bang2:

Of course I'm over simplifying it.

Man A accused Man B of an act.

Man B apologized for the act.

The act has no defense. That's like a defendant pleading guilty and then expecting a trial by jury.
The situation may be more like this:

Man A accused Man B of doing X.

Man B apologized for doing Y.

That changes things a little bit.

Not defending TO, even if I think the situation is quite stupid, but if a big wad of spit flies out of your mouth while you're talking to another person and hits them square in the face, you apologize. Even if you're in an argument with them. That's common courtesy.

pretty much my whole position on it

Yeah, if I am talking to you on the street, and we are friends and it happens, sure.

This is not the case here. Middle of football game, out of breath yelling at each other and spit flies. We stop are trash talking and say. "oh man , sorry about the spit"

I don't see that happening.

I could be asking you the same question. I understand you guys point and in the end you may be right but complete denial that anything else could have happened is just as pig headed as you seem to think I am being.

But you don't answer it by saying "yeah, he was aggravating me"!!!!

That quote seals the deal guys - you know it does. - Now, give it up.

Why not? Seems completely reasonable to me.

Sure you do. He was aggravating him so he got in his face and yelled at him, thus causing spit to fly in his face.

Was that the quote, because even after Deion asked him the second time, I don't remember T.O. saying "I was yelling at him so spit flew"!

Man, my ears must be full of wax, I just did not hear any kind of denial at all in that interview. I think I must need to go back to grade school and take some comprehension courses. You guys are so far above me I just can't take it!

the thing is I don't care to be right enough to get stupid about the whole thing. You see things through whatever color glasses you want to and I see it completely objectively without any applied prejudices.

Technically T.O. never admitted to anything. Listen very carefully to what he said. He never said, "I spit in his face." He vaguely said he apologizes for something but didnt specifically say what it was. In a court of law with no video evidence of the spitting, T.O. could simply say, "I was apologizing for the words being said when Hall was in my face. I never said I spit in his face, because it never happened."

he said they were talking back and forth and he got aggravated.
thats it thats the quote
you read between the lines and think that mean he got me aggravated, so I spit on him.

I don't make that leap

I never heard anyone ask if he intentionally hauled off and spit in his face. The phrasing of the questions were basically just that Hall was accusing him of spitting in his face. It's perfectly reasonable to consider accidentally spraying spit in his face when yelling at him as "spitting in his face."

Maybe you really should go back to grade school and work on your comprehension skills.

Because T.O is a man he can admit when he was wrong and tried to apologize. But that little coward had to go to the media, instead of taking it out on the Field. wah ,wah ,wah, ( in my best Artie Lang impression)

i don't know about you, (well, i do now) but i'm not one to sit around and determine which turd isn't the "bigger" turd. i'm sure some things happen to TO that are NOT of his own doing.

but when the last 99 of 'em were, you can't get mad at the one that isn't.

Sounds like someone needs to go back to grade school and work on their comprehension. ;)

Tell me any reason why he would preface the response with "he was aggravating me".

Were those late hits after the spitting incident?

Just wondering....

Hall says the spitting happened on the Cowboys third offensive play, so yeah, I'd say that those late hits probably all happened after that...

And y'know, I'm inclined to give Hall a pass for those cheap shots, given that Owens spit in his face... of course, burning Hall for 2 TDs probably caused some of those hits... LOL...

I've explained this to you in multiple threads now. You can keep ignoring the explanation.
