That would be true but our PPD is still top 7 in the league in addition to our PPG. Points per drive is not affected by us controlling TOP because that is dictated by the total number of drives we give up points.

Yeah, our dominating TOP directly coincides w/ allowing fewer points. Not rocket science.

We were down around 20 PPG back in 14 when we finally figured out how to run the ball, and our D wasn't great.

It wasn't we had the most TOP in the league in 16. We lost in the playoffs scoring over 30. That same defense in 2017. Lost 3 games while scoring over 30 points. Marinelli's defense is absolute garbage. I'm worried going into the playoffs. Defense is not really playing that great as of late. Other than having 2 huge turnovers last game. They have allowed a team to score on 10 out of the last 14 drives.

But the non-breaking had way more to do with TB errors than the defense stopping them (outside of the fumble return for a TD, which was a good play by RG).

I mean the eyeball test let's you see that this is a very good defense and superior to either one we fielded in the last 2 years. Richards defense will be fine

The eyeball test is the only definitive test to tell the difference between a 5 and a 10. And I'm here to tell ya, a 10 is much better than a 5.
