For those that don't want to re-sign Dak, then who?

Top FAs this offseason look to be - Teddy Bridgewater, Tyrod Taylor, Ryan Fitzpatrick, maybe Sam Bradford or Robert Griffin III

None of them are the answer, and none are going to be particularly cheap. With our pick in the late 2nd, we aren't getting a marquee QB.

Dak isn't an A or A- QB. He isn't a B+, but he is a B / B- guy with upside remaining. He's the type of guy you should want to keep around.

Wait another year, we dont have to resign him yet...

Do not sign Dak, he has a year left, make him prove it. In the meantime for 2020, trade up and position this team to draft, tua tagovailoa. If Dak does full circle by next year (and he won't) then so be it, if not, bring in Tua.

Sure, if we go 1-15, or trade 3 firsts to get Tua.

People are not realizing how impossible replacing Dak truly is sadly.

Replacing Dak is not difficult. Finding a franchise QB is. That is true whether Dak is here or not. One needs to be found either way. It will ne much harder and likely yake much longer if they delude themselves with Dak.

Define franchise QB

If you were a fan of any other franchise, one that wasn't spoiled by Meredith, Staubach, White, Aikman, Romo, and yes, now Dak, you'd be praying for a Dak-like guy in the fourth roun.

The Browns spend 10? first rounders or so and 20 years trying to find Mayfield.

We are blessed. Dak is a blessing. This fan base needs to knock off the Dak hate.

No. Dak is the type of QB teams live with until they can find the right guy, but they always keep looking for the guy.

Disagree. You don't bench the QB with the third best record of all time since starting of all time in his third year.

Were you part of the camp that wanted to start Kitna or Stephen freaking McGee over Romo?

Lol. QBs don't have records, teams do. There is a reason the Chiefs and 49ers moved on from Alex Smith (who is better than Dak). His teams are 75-35-1 with him starting since 2011.

Why would I want to start those guys over the best QB this team has had the last 35+ years?

So you want the Dallas Cowboys to lose games on purpose and gamble that you might draft a QB that might work out? And waste this defense, and Zekes best years, while we put a QB in training for a few years and hope it pans out? Yep, your a smart fella.....Why even care?

Are we talking or calling names? Would I rather in two years if we can't have Dak play with Bridgewater or a journeyman or go qb early round 1? No question for me. You won't win with a jag at qb .I rather keep Dak and hope he improves but we are talking hypothetically

because with about 70% minimum interlopers, those that wanted to bench Romo now want to kick Dak out.

This is the youngest team we've had in a long, long while. And they are dominating.. .But you want to tank.

Some of you haven't caught up to the fact we live in a salary cap era.

Please understand the situation .I'm only for tanking if Dak wants too much and the only other choice are journeyman types.

Ok, I'd be game if we had none of the following -
Multiple all-pro o-linemne
An all-pro caliber RB
An all-pro caliber pass rusher
An all-pro caliber CB
Two all-pro caliber LBs
An elite WR
A QB who can win games in the league

All of those are reasons to press pause. We check a lot of boxes.

we could get the same type of production (bottom 3 passing attack) from a Teddy Bridgewater/Tyrod Taylor at a lower cost than it would take to resign Dak.

Why didn't the Vikings or Bills keep their "good enough" QBs?

You guys want to learn the hard way...

In this Era , the only way you are a contender consistently is if you have a top 5 QB and a top 5 coach. we have neither.

Yes, bus drivers have won the Superbowl but they did it by paying pennies to the QB while having historically good defenses and even then , their window of success was very short.

It has been proven that if you want to contend year in and year out , you need a top 5 QB and a top 5 coach..

We have all that and we are barely winning games..

Imagine what a good QB would do for this team.
