For Those Who Would Have Sold The Draft to Get Crabtree

Why are you guys arguing over whether Crabtree is good when the season is weeks away?

Crabtree slid to #10 because everyone thought he was a giant ****** Bag.

Looks like he's trying to prove them right.

Find me one spread offense reciever that has succeeded in the NFL and I will gladly put my foot in my mouth.
Wes Welker.

And this sets San Fran back five years? You're becoming the king of hyperbole around here.

For the record, I have my doubts about Crabtree as well, but come on.

I already said Wes Welker. Wow! one guy out of 500 coming out of those systems:rolleyes:

They are going to pay him top 3 money or he'll miss a year and take a huge step back. That team needs talent in the worst way and they've missed on 5 of the last 6 first round picks. If they waste yet another top 10 pick while giving him 6-7 mil a year then that handicaps them. Maybe not 5 years but it sets them back even more.

By the way..is it fun to be on my jock lately? Man, nothing gets by you. I guess since your so "respected" on a football message board
:lmao:

They won't give him top 3 money... Players never get that, no matter how they may say they want it.

And because I disagree with you about this and Robert Brewster I'm "on your jock"?

The rookie cap is one of the best things to happen to the NBA. The same needs to be done in the NFL.

Yep - it's high time...

Then he won't go to training camp missing vital time. Then he'll be in Singletarys doghouse the rest of the year then it will just tumble all down.

Of course he was.

Look who was available when we could have picked.

Oher - Mack - Loaholt - Vollmer - Beatty

LOL Okay..you go to TT so you are set in your ways. We'll agree to disagree.:D

It's just that I've seen the guy play an entire year in person, and I have seen how he acts in normal everyday life, and don't see how anyone can call him a diva.

Easy. Daboys4life is still on this forum.

I think the guy is going to be a heck of an NFL WR. I also think he will not get what he wants and will get signed sometimes during camp.
It will be interesting to see him without 4 other receivers on the field.

And pressed coverage with legit corners and NFL routes..

He'll be a bust. Bookmark this please. He's a dime-a-dozen

I'll be sure to let Mack Brown and Bob Stoops, and Mike Gundy, etc, that their Big 12 corners aren't legit.

Never said they weren't. He was going up against boys in college. Now he's gotta face men. Good luck getting jammed by Nnamdi,Newman,Revis,Baily,Samuel,Trufant and Finnegans of the world. Fairly easy when the ball is thrown 60 times a game and you get to do whatver you want. That's not happeneing in the NFL sorry. That's why spread offenses are nothing but teasers.

Dude I guess.

Like you said we will agree to disagree, and I'd love to discuss this with you later in the season when we see how he fares.

The quality of QB he will have in SF will be about the same he had at Tech.

Fair enough. You gotta do what you gotta do and defend your boy. We shall see.

This isn't Crabtree it's the agent and his family.

All he want's to do is play football. Believe me it's not his nature! He's a great kid, who just wants to play. His head and shoulders are on straight so to see people bashing him and calling him a Diva is nuts!!

He's worth top 3 money though. He won't get it, but he deserves it. Is this really any different then a #1 QB getting a better contact then Romo?

He's going to be a star and is totally committed to football. He is a very shy guy and is not full of himself. He is solid. A lot of posters that bash the local media are hypocrites! They talk bad about the locals, but when another teams media come out with this story you bash on the player! Half full/half empty I guess.

Mark my words...the best WR since Randy Moss.

But....media right before the draft said he is full of himself and a diva....so it must be true.

If he just wants to play, then he needs to fire his agent and signed the contract. I don't know Crabtree, but in general I find the whole "it's the agent" argument doesn't hold much water when the agent is your employee. If you don't like how your employee is handling your business, then move on. People that have their head on straight also have to be willing to tell their family to back off if they are out of line (and I have done so when needed).

He may or may not be worth #3 money, but given the fact that he wasn't chosen #3, he shouldn't get it now. If he didn't have the injury, then maybe he would have been chosen higher and gotten #3 money. Regardless of what he does or doesn't deserve, it certainly doesn't make him look good and I can't imagine it is going over well with Singletary.
