forget every thread you ever read about these two...Roy v Ed Reed

Yeah well when we a MLB like Bradie James its a very valuable assett.

Nice attempt to deflect from the subject.

Bottomline is Reed is a complete safety. He's superior in some categories, but not a liability in any.

Unlike others.

Yeah, believe it or not "playing the run" isn't really a premium skill for safeties these days.

Most of the safeties who claim that as their best asset were benched this year.

You know who Bob Sanders is?

Look at the rushing yards the Colts let up when he was missing versus when he played.

I bet you $1,000,000 they wouldnt cut him.

How many times trailing a TE by five yards?

Come on. Everyone knows it.

Not more than his # of INT's this season.

What the heck is a "tomatoe" and a "potatoe".

either spelling is correct, I prefer the "e" one simply cause it makes me giggle.

Ask Adam for the %s... it will show you Roy out performed him in other aspects as well.

Ed Reed is an incredible player ...... Roy is not better than him at playing free safety.

But Reed is not better at Roy at playing Strong Safety ......

I wish we had both ...... oh the carnage!!!!

No where in those stats do I see # of completions surrendered.

Here's what I love about Roy Williams apologistrs ... they've made it absolutely impossible to criticise him for anything, because they don't hold him responsible for anything. Terrence Newman is responsible for something .. he has to defend the guy he's covering. Its pretty obvious when he doesn't do his job. He gives up catches. Demarcus Ware is responsible for getting sacks ... its obvious when he doesn't do his job. He doesn't get sacks. Jason Ferguson has to plug the run, if opponents are running it up our gut its obvious that he's not doing his job.

But nobody knows what Roy is responsible for. If he gives up completion after completion, its somehow not his fault because he shouldn't be asked to cover. Or its the free safeties fault. Or its the schemes fault. Exactly what does Roy Williams do?

Please ask Adam.

RW gave up less receptions.

im with you. most of these people refuse to admit one of there COWBOYS arent the superior player. when its obvious that what they do isnt as good as what the other guy does. they automaticly make it a flame war and if you dont agree wtih them your and idiot. its rediculous.
