It's easy to forget about games where Romo heroically lead the team to victory, while having career threatening injuries, but that doesn't fit the narrative. With the season on the line and a back injury that would leave most people laying in bed, he lead us on a masterful game winning drive against the Commanders. He did the same thing with a broken rib and punctured lung against San Fran.

Good point...although he beat a horrible Vikings and Commanders team in those come backs... They shouldn't have even had to come back in the first place. Kudos to Romo for coming back against those teams, but he failed to rise to the occasion during other games this year and in years past.

You mean he's not the first perfect human being, he doesn't rise to the occasion every single time? What a genius-level observation.

Comeback win vs the Giants this year too. :)
I know, they suck, so those games don't count.
Who cares about division road games when we can discuss the all important Detroit game two years ago...or maybe even the less important Jets game a few years ago.

Seriously, the dude has laid some eggs (see Commanders against all odds fiasco in 2012), but sometimes the cherry picking to hammer him is a bit over the top.

Romo threw for 0 Touchdowns his first two years in the NFL.

Why would Wilson's 1000 yards rushing in addition to throwing for 50+ TDs and 100+ QB rating in his 1st two seasons warrant a "HAHA" and a "that' embarrassing" from you?

What's embarrassing about getting your team a ton of extra 1st downs in addition to being a good passer?

Romo's 1st two seasons of playing is obviously what i meant , guess you gotta spell it out for everyone . 1000 yards for a qb is embarrassing once he gets hurt scrambling he is done . Rg3 proved that . I want my RB running for 1000 not my qb .

I really like Romo and I've been grateful to have him after the nonsense that was the years before his tenure in Dallas, but I look forward to our next guy. Hopefully that guy will be at least as good.

Yea I bet you'd trade away Marino for dilfer .

You are just being crazy now. The fact is the team has underperformed in big games and Romo is as responsible as anybody else. It doesn't matter how you spin it. He has a couple of years left to change the perception of him and then we can move on. I will say that I would have loved Romo to have Marino's playoff record. Miami was in many playoff games and one SB so...

You're acting nuts . If we had a defense that could hold the pats offense to 14 measley points twice we'd probably win the Super Bowl every other year . Our defense has been ranked bottom half in league every single season .

Some much-needed context for the numbers you've thrown out there...

1) Since 2010, Romo's quarterback rating in the first 12 minutes of the fourth quarter is 81. In the final 3 minutes it drops to 44...So it's not a myth that he struggles mightily during crunch time and when it matters most.

Since 2010, Romo's passer rating in the final 3 minutes of the 4th quarter is 72.9. Manning's is 73.6 and Brady's is 70.5. These ratings are normal for this situation. The average for the NFL in the final 3 minutes of the 4th quarter is 71.2.

2) Since 2006 Tony leads the NFL in interceptions when leading in the 4th quarter by 7 points or less with 11. Clutch?

Since 2006, Romo has thrown 9 interceptions when leading in the 4th quarter by 7 points or less. This leads the NFL by one interception--one more than Tom Brady. He has also thrown 20 touchdown passes. 8 more than Brady. These QB have the most attempts in this situation:

Romo 149 of 226 2320 yd 10.3 ypa 20 td 9 int 112.7
PManning 136 of 214 1660 yd 7.8 ypa 10 td 2 int 99.0
Brees 177 of 253 1861 yd 7.4 ypa 9 td 5 int 94.7
Brady 151 of 240 1749 yd 7.3 ypa 12 td 8 int 87.7
Roethlisberger 124 of 214 1511 yd 7.1 ypa 7 td 4 int 82.9

The authors of the articles from which you pulled these two stats left out this information, for whatever reason.

Wierd how twisted an agenda can turn with cherry picked info, eh. Nice job of giving the whole picture, Percy. The ****** bag crew can go back to reeling now.

how in the world can you put Foles up there when he hasn't even started a full season? Alex Smith? That defense carried them. Cam has only had one winning season. Romo is a top 10 QB. I'll go as far to say that if you put him on the Chiefs or Panthers they would of gone farther in the play offs and even had a chance to make super bowl.

Link: http://www.thesidelineview.com/colu...ngelo-rates-every-quarterback-2013-nfl-season

"He has a blind spot. His instincts are just average and his accuracy is not consistent enough given the amount of times they let him wing it and that’s what he does...wing it. His mental toughness is suspect and physically he is the danger zone given his two back surgeries."

Does Jerra knows this? I don't think he does.

Pls. Jerra, get over your man love for Tona and do what you half to bring in Bortles.
This is the QB for our future. Tona is getting old, too old to wing it. Face facts. You got taken by Tona's agent. Write that money off to foolishness and move on. Your team is full of has-beens, so unload as many as you can and get the money you need for Bortles.
