Put Romo on the Giants and Eli on the Cowboys in 2007 and the Giants do not win at Dallas, they certainly wouldn't have won at Green Bay, and they definitely wouldn't have beaten the Patriots in the Super Bowl. Yes, Eli had a good defense but he made crucial plays throughout the playoffs and more importantly, he didn't turn the ball over, which is why he owns 2 Super Bowl MVP trophies as well.

What a laugh. Eli is twice as turnover prone as Romo yet for some reason you assume that Romo couldn't drive the same bus that Eli did. You saw what happened this year when Eli had to take the bus out of the hazard lane and carry the team a bit without as many good players on the field: 27 interceptions. What a joke.

If he got fired for missing on cutler then why did they just re-sign him to a monster deal?

You guys are looking for reasons to bash the guy because you don't agree

And your arguments don't even make sense

If he was so great at evaluating talent, why did the Bears fire his arse?

Why is he unemployed with his all world evaluating skills?

Why did the Bears fire him? Really?

He was a GM for 10 years. I'm not saying he was a good GM -- he wasn't, however, sometimes team just make a change and fire good people. Bill Polian comes to mind.

What's it matter? Poking holes in a guys credentials doesn't make us more credible. It just makes us obstinate.

The guy held the title of GM in the NFL. Even if he was fired and never gets a job again, he's far more proven and knowledgeable than any of us.

Ahhhh yes. The classic if....If if if....Fact is, Romo has had many chances to prove everyone wrong over the years and hasn't. He's had the ball in his hands to change his perception and hasn't. So keep living in la la land thinking a good defense would change who he is at QB.

When guys like Wilson and Kap and Cam throw for 500 yards and 5 TDs and LOSE THE GAME..............get back to me with your "a good defense doesn't mean anything".

And as far as Foles goes,

He looked awesome in the first meeting in Philly. Did he even get close to a TD in that game? And in the last game against a backup QB who hasn't played in years, a historically bad defense, with everything on the line, would have lost if Orton doesn't throw that pick.

I still can't get over 9 10 and 11. Does Kaeper's even complete 50%? I drafted him in my fantasy league and he singularily destroyed me.

Heh...

If you're going to use the argument of how a QB looked in one particular game rather than the season as a whole, well then Romo has looked much worse than Foles this year...

So using that logic, you are going to start listening to Matt Millen? Hey, he was an NFL GM like you say.

LOL......................you do that, I am sure Matt Millen has a lot of knowledge he would like to share about being an NFL GM......................LOL

Your right. His teams only managed six playoff games in his 10 years and only one miserable Superbowl appearance.

He absolutely should have been fired. Any GM with anything less than that over a 10 year period should be considered incompetent, right?

Doesn't anyone get tired of the "If" arguments supporting Romo? "If Romo was on Seattle, If Romo was on the Niners, If Miles Austin did this, If Crayton did that, If Romo had *insert winning coach*"....

Doesn't anyone get annoyed when they hear that "if Barry had Emmitt's o-line... blah blah blah"

It's the same argument and it's a bad one.

Did I say anything about this year? Pay attention. Those 2 Super Bowl runs through the playoffs Eli Manning played Great and mistake free football. People like you and others on here like to try and act like his defense did all of the work, which is not true, and also why Eli owns 2 Super Bowl MVP trophies.

The defense did do all of the work, and Manning had always been twice as turnover prone as Romo, not just this year. There is nothing special about the way Eli played. He played good games and deserves credit for it. He didn't post some unattainable, magical performance that no other QB could hope to achieve. There is no reason to think that Romo couldn't have played as well or better than Eli did, since Romo has always played better than Eli his entire career. Eli has screwed up in many playoff games and has played terrible several times down the stretch with the Giants missing the playoffs 4 of the last 5 years. The main difference between Romo is that he's had more opportunities as his team has dragged him into the playoffs more despite his best efforts to miss them.

Who said he was so great? Its not very hard to judge made products like these guys are.. Just because (and this is your opinion) he sucked at his job doesn't mean he can't assess previous performances, one had nothing to do with the other

Absolutely.

Matt Millen may not have done a great job of fielding a competitive team, doesn't mean he doesn't know more about football than any of us or doesn't know what he's talking about. He played... what 10 years in the league? Was a GM almost as long as that.

We've watched football on TV. Maybe even played a little bit. Maybe even at the college level, who knows.

Why weren't we hired as GMs?

Ad hominem attacks shows your lack of an argument.

How about you saying that Romo would never win this or win that by trading places on teams between the Cowboys and Giants? You call that an argument? Are you Mr. Know It All For Certain? Yet, here you come saying with certainty that something will or will not happen. smh Lack of an argument? lol

Yes, that's my argument, so if you disagree then so be it, but using "lol" doesn't do anything.
