The defense did do all of the work, and Manning had always been twice as turnover prone as Romo, not just this year. There is nothing special about the way Eli played. He played good games and deserves credit for it. He didn't post some unattainable, magical performance that no other QB could hope to achieve. There is no reason to think that Romo couldn't have played as well or better than Eli did, since Romo has always played better than Eli his entire career. Eli has screwed up in many playoff games and has played terrible several times down the stretch with the Giants missing the playoffs 4 of the last 5 years. The main difference between Romo is that he's had more opportunities as his team has dragged him into the playoffs more despite his best efforts to miss them.

If that's what you want to believe then you have that right, that's your opinion and I'm happy for you, meanwhile Eli Manning still has those 2 Super Bowl MVP trophies that his defense won for him. You're making this a different argument, I'm talking about those 2 Super Bowl runs ONLY, because people of your ilk, love to say that Eli didn't do anything during those runs and was basically along for the ride like a Trent Dilfer, which is completely and utterly false.

Please explain that remark.

So? He needs an OL too. Wow, some people.

Which leads me to my next point... Romo apologists always find an excuse to fall back on for their hero. The truth is there's no such thing as a perfect team, even Seattle had its weaknesses... Russell Wilson had JAGs to work with in the passing game, but you didn't see him or the Seattle fans make excuses, he just went out there and won the whole the whole damn thing.

I guess the guy needs a flawless team around him to win anything, but then why the hell are we paying him all that money? If he's not THAT guy, why do we pay him as such? If he's a bus driver, which is what I guess he is because he can't win with a team with deficiencies, then he should have been paid like one.

Remind me...how many games did Romo play this year when the defense did not make the other team punt just ONE time? If you call your self The Finisher, I think you better go back to the beginning! lol

Remind me, how many winning seasons have we had in the last 4 years with Tony Boy in command?

Been almost half a decade since you can call him a winner... But by all means enjoy it.

Remind yourself, first, that Tony Boy is one player on a 53 player team. Once you learn that, then you can advance a little further towards the Finish line.

Poor Tony, how can you expect a QB to win anything with a supporting cast with Pro Bowlers at every skill position and an OL that was regarded as a top 5 unit anchored by the best LT in the game? I mean, it's just not fair!!

I have no idea what that post of yours is about? (yeah, you are far from the Finish line)! lol

Worse defense in nfl history . Scored 48 @ home vs Denver . Couldn't make Denver punt once . Lost the game . You're terrible at analyzing football.

"He has a blind spot. His instincts are just average and his accuracy is not consistent enough given the amount of times they let him wing it and that’s what he does...wing it. His mental toughness is suspect and physically he is the danger zone given his two back surgeries."
Given his limitations with his lingering injury this is probably accurite but the last sentence is overboard.

No way in hell is Alex Smith, Colin Kaepernick and Cam Newton better than Romo.

If Romo had their defenses he'd be in everybody's top 5-6 QB's list.

There is no question he is. Additionally he would have won a couple of playoff games.

I think he was referencing his two back surgery's. I know it concerns me going forward and the Cowboys better start finding his replacement ASAP.
