The defense did do all of the work, and Manning had always been twice as turnover prone as Romo, not just this year. There is nothing special about the way Eli played. He played good games and deserves credit for it. He didn't post some unattainable, magical performance that no other QB could hope to achieve. There is no reason to think that Romo couldn't have played as well or better than Eli did, since Romo has always played better than Eli his entire career. Eli has screwed up in many playoff games and has played terrible several times down the stretch with the Giants missing the playoffs 4 of the last 5 years. The main difference between Romo is that he's had more opportunities as his team has dragged him into the playoffs more despite his best efforts to miss them.
If that's what you want to believe then you have that right, that's your opinion and I'm happy for you, meanwhile Eli Manning still has those 2 Super Bowl MVP trophies that his defense won for him. You're making this a different argument, I'm talking about those 2 Super Bowl runs ONLY, because people of your ilk, love to say that Eli didn't do anything during those runs and was basically along for the ride like a Trent Dilfer, which is completely and utterly false.
