Jones isn't without part of the team's malaise. It is hard to replace aging players or malcontents when the salary cap structure is hamstringing the coach.

couldn't agree more, one BAD Football team beat another BAD football team, end of story.......so it's looking more and more like another play and your in game week seventeen when philly comes to Dallas for the division and we all know how they've turned out lately....

But don't ALL teams deal with the salary cap ???

Do people realize how many teams are 5-6 ? We have a winning record and we beat a division rival in their stadium without our best LB. Romo again proved why he was clutch, dan bailey proved why he has ice in veins, hatches showed eli who Daddy was and our secondary was much improved. It really surprises me how much people complain about winning a hard fought game.

Just some food for thought here are the coaches with worse records.

Rex Ryan
Joe Philbin
Doug Marrone
Mike Tomlin
John Harbaugh
Rob Chudzinski
Mike Munchak
Gus Bradley
Gary Kubiak
Mike McCoy
Dennis Allen
Chip Kelly
Tom Coughlin
Mike Shanahan
Jim Schwartz
Marc Tressman
Leslie Fraizer
Greg Schiano
Mike Smith
John Harbaugh
Jeff Fisher

Ladies & Gentlemen this is football - good coaches struggle & bad coaches struggle. Do I think Garrett is the best coach in this group? No, not yet, but I think he shows he can draft well and lead a team. Do we make stupid mistakes? Do we have injuries? Does Miles Austin piss you off? Of course, all these things play a part, but there are a lot of coaches on this list that people would of taken in the start of the year who are doing as good or worse then garrett.

...about how many of us here want to like Garrett and his tenure but just don't see the necessary progress.

Guy doesn't know his facts. Parcells drafted alot of losers. He couldn't pick an offensive lineman to save his life. He tried to take Merriman over Ware but was overruled. Bobby Carpenter, Rob Pettiti, Anthony Fasano, Skyler Green, Pat Watkins, Montavious Stanley, Pat McQuistan, James Martin, Isaah Stanback. For every Doug Free or Jay Ratliff, Parcells wiffed on three other high picks. He traded away a chance to draft Steven Jackson. Parcells was a pretty good motivator, but that was about it. There's a reason they didn't want him shopping for the groceries.

Just like everyone all knew we would lose this past game because Garrett was 0-3 after byes? That "trend" made a lot of sense...IF it does come down to that game it is our first win or go home game AT HOME in a while. Advantage Dallas from the get go.

Can't say I agree with this. The Cowboys did not look a "bad" football team to me, especially considering the refs gifted the Giants two FGs with terrible penalties that kept drives alive. The Cowboys passing game looked solid. The running game and oline were pretty solid. The playing calling was much improved, as was the pass defense. Yes, we were gashed on the ground, but that weakness will be rectified with the return of Lee.

Offense scored 17 points against an atrocious Giants defense...drops, penalties, sloppy play all over. Defense was decent enough I guess, but the O was pretty terrible.

Can't say I agree with you considering the weather.
