Yeah, in 6 years he hasn't been able to run, suddenly, he can... There are plenty of ex-QBs that can't coach... Garrett is just one of many...

there are lots of bad posters, you are just one of them.

dallas has used play-action many times during the 6 years garrett has been here.
it has largely been ineffective because the running game has been as well.

since Romo is as good as anyone outside NO or NE out of emply sets we see a fair amount of plays where play-action isn't even an option.

guess Belicheck is an idiot too since he pretty much created that offensive attack.

good game, good effort.

I take your opinion of me with a grain of slat and your 'blanket' statements that Dallas has used play-action 'many times' is contradicted by actual analysis. And please don't compare Bellichek to Garrett, despite the fact Bellichek is a blatant cheater. For every Bellicheck, if we accept his 'genius', you'ce got at 100,000 incompetent coaches proving the exact opposite point.

Offense scored 17 points against an atrocious Giants defense...drops, penalties, sloppy play all over. Defense was decent enough I guess, but the O was pretty terrible.

Wasn't so bad on that last drive though was it. The "decent" defense allowed like 1000 yards on the ground.

Just a little sarcasm after the extensive "moral victory" diatribes.

This article is not about style points and being down on the fact the team won yesterday. Of course the win is a good thing. We shut up the Giants and that is fantastic. The point is the author asking if this is now the new Cowboys who achieve 8-8 yearly and think they are going in the right direction. Personally as a 35 year fan I expect more from this franchise. I'm just not sure Garrett is the guy to give it to us and I know I'm not alone. And this is coming from someone who once loved the Garrett hire.

I think the Giants in the past 5-6 games are a much better team than what they were putting out there earlier in the year.
I keep hearing what a crap team they are; oh well, I guess we'll see if they get stomped every week from here on out like some here seems to think Dallas should have done to them.
I tend to think any road win in the NFL--especially vs a division foe who is calling the game their Super Bowl--is a good win.

i am sure garrett cares as much about your opinion of him as you do mine of you... thus the point.

if you have any analysis that suggests we haven't done any play-action passing in 6 years you should disregard it as patently false.

i hardly believe garrett is a great coach but he has improved by quite a lot this season thus far.

this article was the voice of the mouth-breathing fan that would rather lose games to get a new coach than win games and discover we already have a coach that is developing same as they all have to.

personally i believe the giants are done and will finish quite poorly now.
but i also believe they put the rest of the season on the line versus dallas on sunday.
coughlin pushed that out there it was NOT just the players trash-talking.
that giants team came fired up and ready to play.
they just got beat.

What part of 'lack' of play-action qualifies as never doing it? On what planet?

This article is simply to get hits on their website and clicks for him. Period. Write the article Wednesday. Not Sunday night after a huge win!

I suggest you do some research before opening your mouth....

Either way, the fact that the Cowboys are last in the NFL in playaction pass rate isn’t surprising. The lack of playaction looks is so dramatic that, using PFF’s numbers, the difference between Romo and the 31st-ranked quarterback—Philip Rivers—is greater than between Rivers and the next 11 quarterbacks.

This was 2012, and we could actually go to 2013, prior to this game to establish the point, but I think you get it. Percy Howard has already broughr stat to reflect this, besides Sturm and others.

Not everybody that dislikes Garrett does it out of 'whining'. He simply sucks and that is reality. He got demoted in the off season for a reason.

They do have a fairly tough slate remaining.
2 division games could go either way but the other three are games that most teams would be underdogs in.

might try looking up the word lack.
it can mean doing without as in zero of something as well as simply being deficient in it.
so on this planet, using the English language.

but in either case it matters little.
your point was a wasteful whine when you know why they haven't been able to run more play action.

more common sense and less arguing to argue.

One more thing, while there are many who are ready to throw Miles away before the season ends. Once his legs get back under him, he's going to make a few significant catches for us. I still trust a healthy Miles more than T. Williams. Loved how Romo went right back to him on that final drive. That's trust.

Yes it can mean zero, but only a person that is 'arging to argue' in this context would take it other than hyperbole. But yeah, last in the league in 2012 and in 2013 at play-action really proves your point.. Cut the act...

you still haven't established a point except that you are in insipid child incapable of following basic logic.
no one on this thread or any other has suggested dallas uses play-action with regularlity or success.

YOUR comment was that they haven't used it in 6 years. YOU decided not to qualify that and firther to use vague terms like LACK which means exactly what you are crying it doesn't.

Once again good game, good effort.
Get a point, get a clue, try harder next time.

The fact thet your argument is relying on the usage of lack as not being hyperbole, while still admitting it is one of it's meanings, is utterly laughable... Really, you lost. You had no idea of these stats and now you do. 2012 and 2013 being ridiculously bad, i.e. last is really enough to prove the point, esecially when you were telling us how Jason Garrett was wit the Cowboys using play-action all the time as evidence that he uses it plenty.. it's alright.. game, set, match...

Some people like to whinge, win, loose or draw.

Let's see how the season pans out before saying we'll be 8-8.

I don’t care how bad the Giants are, it’s a division game and those are always tough.

Hey, we agree on something.
