Wins are hard to come by in the National Football League (Garrett-speak). When I see articles like this after a win, it's not worth my time reading. I clicked on the link, read a few lines and X'd out.

Guy doesn't know his facts. Parcells drafted alot of losers. He couldn't pick an offensive lineman to save his life. He tried to take Merriman over Ware but was overruled. Bobby Carpenter, Rob Pettiti, Anthony Fasano, Skyler Green, Pat Watkins, Montavious Stanley, Pat McQuistan, James Martin, Isaah Stanback. For every Doug Free or Jay Ratliff, Parcells wiffed on three other high picks. He traded away a chance to draft Steven Jackson. Parcells was a pretty good motivator, but that was about it. There's a reason they didn't want him shopping for the groceries.

Speaking of not having facts in order.

Same here. I did not grant the article comment-worthy but your post is! That writer should spend more time watching the game than stuffing his face at the media buffet.

i'm as down on Garrett as anybody, but this article is crap. a win is a win. With all of the injuries we've been hit with on defense, to go to NY and beat them in the fashion that we did, i'll take that any day. We looked better "in all 3 phases".

I won't appologize for wins. It's stupid to do so.

If the Giants won you can believe that neither them, or their fans, would give two cents how ugly it was.

Garrett, Cowboys take chances, rewarded with win
Jason Garrett takes more chances having it pay off in a Cowboys' win over the Giants.

The Cowboys won a game, but Jason Garrett is still losing the war.

What else to make of Cowboys 24, Giants 21?

Sure, there was the clutch drive at the end. Tony Romo hooked up with Dez Bryant on two third downs to keep the drive going. Then Romo found Cole Beasley on another third down to make Dan Bailey's game-winning field goal an easy 35-yarder.

But everything up to that point showed that the Cowboys still haven't turned the corner under Garrett. In his third full season as head coach, Garrett still has a lot of work to do in changing the culture of the team.

The Cowboys finished 8-8 in the two previous seasons under Garrett and appear on another collision course with 8-8. That may be good enough to get them in the playoffs this year in the NFC East, which is at an all-time low.

couldn't agree more, one BAD Football team beat another BAD football team, end of story.......so it's looking more and more like another play and your in game week seventeen when philly comes to Dallas for the division and we all know how they've turned out lately....

Yup, the home team has consistently won

Offense scored 17 points against an atrocious Giants defense...drops, penalties, sloppy play all over. Defense was decent enough I guess, but the O was pretty terrible.

And yet in the end, the defense let the giants go down and score very late in the 4th qtr, and then convert on a 2 pt conversion to tie a game that we had led throughout.

Only after that did the offense go on a 14 play drive, eating up all of the 4:45 on the 4th qtr clock, .. and kick the game winning FG as time ran out without allowing the giants to have the ball back at all.

Once again, I don't know how to evaluate this team considering all the injuries. Every team deals with injuries but good grief. OTOH, at some point it's cut bait or fish. I just can't agree with this article without that caveat.

One thing that cannot be denied....this team plays hard and has heart. To me that is the start of a team; all great teams start from this point. You just add ingredients until you get the right flavor. One last thing. Garrett needs to take heed of that last drive. I think they should play that was a little more.

Guys come on. Yay we won!

But it's obvious we could be better coached. These guys coaching this team don't have a clue.

I think that is a stretch.

Could they do better? Yes, I think so and hope they do.

To say they 'don't have a clue' is an exaggeration.

I like their attitude.

Now if they could only add sufficient talent we could have the makings of something good.

They have sufficient talent. They are just incredibly basic.

Yesterday we unveiled the play action pass! Welcome to the 1970's Cowboys! We did it!

Not on Defense they don't and if one of the current starting 5 OL goes down, watch out!

I'm not sure some of you understand how the parity era NFL works, on the road against a "hot" division rival and Dallas comes away with the win, being concerned about certain aspects is understandable but anyone who thinks this wasn't a good win simply isn't up to speed on the parity era....

I've gave up on the defense. The Cowboys just don't know what they're doing on that side of the ball. Talent will not matter.

We've had talent in the past and we still can't defend very well.

Being in Zone towards the end of the game and letting Cruz catch that pass just shows how it's not just the players. Our schemes are just not very good either.

I understand it was a great win for our season but we have so many scheme disadvantages that the parity factor really doesn't include us because teams can just out scheme us way to easily.

The Cowboys want to back into the playoffs. That is their plan going into the year. You can win championships that way. You just can't do it if every team you play, especially with elite QB's, know your basic schemes.

I was glad to actually see some playactions yesterday though. We should be one of the highest playactioning teams in the NFL but we never use it.

Got to love how a win is credited to Garrett, when the offense once again went stale and then rode the back of Romo again on a last drive that went up-tempo and targetted who should be targetted all game...

Just glad that articles are now pointing out the obvious, even when the team wins...
