couldn't agree more, one BAD Football team beat another BAD football team, end of story.......so it's looking more and more like another play and your in game week seventeen when philly comes to Dallas for the division and we all know how they've turned out lately....

Got news for you there is a lot of bad football teams if the Cowboys are one of them. They have a 6-5 record. look around the league and how many teams are 7-4, 6-5, 5-6, 4-7. The Cowboys are a product of the league but they aren't bad or very good but doing just enough to get in the playoffs and see what happens. The Super Bowl champs the last 3 years have been 2 10-6 teams and a 9-7 team. So were those bad football teams as you say?

Guy doesn't know his facts. Parcells drafted alot of losers. He couldn't pick an offensive lineman to save his life. He tried to take Merriman over Ware but was overruled. Bobby Carpenter, Rob Pettiti, Anthony Fasano, Skyler Green, Pat Watkins, Montavious Stanley, Pat McQuistan, James Martin, Isaah Stanback. For every Doug Free or Jay Ratliff, Parcells wiffed on three other high picks. He traded away a chance to draft Steven Jackson. Parcells was a pretty good motivator, but that was about it. There's a reason they didn't want him shopping for the groceries.

Parcells is a 2 time SB winning coach and took the Patriots to the SB and made the Jets contenders.. Garrett isn't and hasn't done jack squat... the end...

Good Lord.....the whiners and biotchers on this board. Catching a little of Mike and Mike this morning, they addressed this very thing, the fickleness of a majority of the DC fans. I have to agree.
They also stated that they would take Romo in a "New York Minute" :) on their team, and that there were many teams who would gladly do the same. JUST ENJOY IT........IT'S CONTAGEOUS !! :D

Not quite! I can see Garrett having more of a chance to have that type of success if he had the defense that Parcells had in NY! Lawrence Taylor, anyone????

They have sufficient talent. They are just incredibly basic.

Yesterday we unveiled the play action pass! Welcome to the 1970's Cowboys! We did it!

Seriously.. not a lot of people noticed that Dallas employed play-action pass 'heavily'... it took Garrett (who even knows considering Callahan is here and Wade Wilson went upto the boot as wel) about 6 years to go play-action over 4 times in one game after trying to establish a running game... wow, great coach

Demarcus Ware in today's league at his prime is fine enough... Again, he took the Patriots to the SB and made the Jets contenders. If Drew Bledsoe asn't throwing ducks all over the place that SB, who knows...

Few real basic notes here.

That wasn't two bad football teams Sunday. That was 1 bad football team playing its 2013 Super Bowl at home versus a mediocre football team.

Garrett has proven a solid game day Coach this year. That is a drastic improvement over previous seasons.

8-8?? Who the frack put Whitmire in the Ms Cleo business?
Dallas gets the 4-7 Raiders, 6-5 Bears, 5-5-1 Packers, 3-7 Skins and 6-5 Eagles to close.
That's 3 teams with worse records and two that are even(1 of which they've already beaten by 2 TDs on the road).
Against teams with 6 or fewer wins Dallas is 5-2 this season.

I've gave up on the defense. The Cowboys just don't know what they're doing on that side of the ball. Talent will not matter.

We've had talent in the past and we still can't defend very well.

Being in Zone towards the end of the game and letting Cruz catch that pass just shows how it's not just the players. Our schemes are just not very good either.

That may be true; although you could have the best scheme in the world but if you don't have the horses...

Depth on the OL is scary though.

You can't play action if you can't run. And most of Garrett's tenure we haven't been able to run.
(Bad OL play, injured RBs, sieve of a defense all contributing at different times or in tandem)

That's pretty basic stuff.
Since basically every play Garrett ran as a Cowboy QB was out of play action to Emmitt I am going to guess he knows juts a bit more than you about that.

Good call though on blasting the Coach the day after a road divisional win that puts us in First Place.
I expect similar sentiments if we win a playoff game.

But don't ALL teams deal with the salary cap ???

Yes they do. This is why way to many teams will be close enough to 8-8. I live between Baltimore any philadelphia and the Baltimore sports media repeated over and over last night about this parity being what Goodell wants and said will happen. This is about money and the league feels they make the most money when as many teams as possible have something to play for in the second half of the season. The hardcore fans are not important enough to the league. They know the casual fans have more money on average and will spend it for a good time over old school football the way we wish it were.

I think I am fairly hard on Garrett, heck, I even piled on after the Vikings win for that terrible game-plan. Having said that, they won the game, swept the Giants and are now 4-0 in the NFC East.

Stand tall today Dallas Cowboys and ignore drivel such as this. I'll pile on again if you mess it up against the Raiders.

Yep. Its all about the quick buck, etc. Just like in about 95% of businesses now.
The NFL does not get it - the core fans, the real hard core fans, are the FOUNDATION. Piss them off and watch what happens. The casual fans come and go and only a fool would rely on them. But that is what the NFL is doing. Sloppy play, bad officiating, stupid rule changes all to attract the casual fan.

Yeah, in 6 years he hasn't been able to run, suddenly, he can... There are plenty of ex-QBs that can't coach... Garrett is just one of many...

Why do people keep calling the Cowboys a bad football team? You are what your record says you are, right?

6-5 is above .500 for those of you weak at math. There is a decent chance they'll be 7-5 when they play an average Bears team.

The Cowboys are in the hunt for a home playoff game. A lot of season left but that can't be said for a lot of teams. (Giants, lol!)

Enjoy it while you can.

I never thought I would care less about my children being a fan of this sport. I grew up breathing Cowboys and football. I created every unrealistic formation in my trapper keeper notbooks in school. Now I see the direction this is going and realize that my 3 sons (ages 11,4,2) are probably better off not caring about it like I do. You see I am already hooked (getting less hooked each season though). If the league is determined to have everyone 8-8 and teams going from 2-14 one season to 14-2 the next season then being a hardcore fan will just not be worth the headache.

Look at the new generation of fans. Fantasy football? That entire concept spits in the face of hardcore fan. I couldn't participate in something that causes me to route for anything that isnt in the cowboys interest.

Depth on the OL is scary for every team. I like our OL this year.

Yesterday Demarco Murray was the guy goofing up quite a bit. I saw Free get confused once as well by a good play design by the Giants on a delayed blitz.

The Cowboys should be better than they are on offense.

I don't want to spend the day bagging on the Cowboys because im very happy they beat the Giants yesterday. 2-0 for the season against those guys.
