This Is Delicious, frankly. Get out your spoons and eat this up
I take exception with any comparison to McNabb. But they haven't even played a real game and they are getting it in the face about Dallas and the quarterback picks they made.

This kind of stuff should be bottled and given away around here.

Dak Prescott's standout play could haunt the Eagles
.
If Eagles fans have seen Dak Prescott play this preseason, they may be regretting not seeing their team select him.

As Carson Wentz sat out from last week’s preseason game against the Steelers, Prescott was preparing to take on the Dolphins. When he got on the field Saturday night against Miami, Prescott lit it up with a dazzling performance.

Prescott went 12 of 15 for just under 200 yards, throwing two touchdown passes and rushing for another two touchdowns. His play was reminiscent of former Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb.

LOL...we talking about PRACTICE! I like Dak like most but it's preseason for crying out loud. Tap the brakes.

Wentz has turned into a often injured QB who gets hurt every year,Dak on the other is an Iron man.If wentz had played for Miss St last year then he would have quit football.

Still think it is wayyyyyyy too early for all this hype. But gotta admit I like the positive stories after years of negative ones. Oh and anything that causes Eagles fans butt hurt is icing on the cake.

For the record, we're keeping it strictly hypothetical here. But the trend's in our favor, and as long as it is, I'm going to mock Eagles fans for it.

The point I like is that both the Rams and Eagles felt the need to pay to dollar and draft picks for QBs that would not go that high in other years.

No telling how they'll all turn out,but that was my argument against panic drafting at 4 (or even ridiculously trading up) for a QB this year.

But again, maybe they all end up good.

The best part of this is reading Eagles' fans comments at the bottom of the page. How much would it suck to give up that much to get the lesser player if you're PHI fan? A lot.

Gee, I missed that. Good call. In my haste to get out of there, I totally ignored the comment section. Makes it even better now.

It is way to early to suggest Dak can be our quarterback of the future, but I was excited about his potential from the moment Dallas drafted him. And that's because he's got it all.....from the neck up. Character, moxie, work ethic, drive, leadership, all that good stuff. I know Goff and Wentz have that too. So what's the difference?

Expectations. Goff and Wentz come in as top five picks with the tag of "franchise savior". Prescott, meanwhile, was the 135th overall pick that came in under the expectations of "possible backup and developmental passer".

Prescott seems to have caught the attention of a lot of NFL fan bases. Hes having the most explosive preseason of any rookie this year

Honestly if Dak's ceiling is Donovan McNabb, we'll do really well for the better part of the decade after Romo retires.

People around here hate to admit it, but Donovan McNabb was insanely good for a long time.

True. McNabb was very good for a long time, however; he was never what I would call an elite quarterback. He would always have those stinker games at the worst possible times. As an athlete and a leader, he was top-notch, a guy you can win with most of the time.

For the record, I think Dak will be better than Donovan McNabb. He's already shown a much better ability with the deep ball and with accuracy.

I used to look down on McNabb's game because I thought he was so overrated as a passer from watching him 3-4 times/year. Then I sat down and recognized how well he took care of the football. I have to admit, he was a pretty good player, overall.

Still don't like him as a person, though. And he choked on his biggest stage. Also, I hold the suit coats with the elongated front panels against him. Those are awful.

Hoooah...and Bill Parcells' checklist for evaluating college quarterbacks would fully endorse that observation.
