The best part of this is reading Eagles' fans comments at the bottom of the page. How much would it suck to give up that much to get the lesser player if you're PHI fan? A lot.

I can't help but think that it's karma. All of that "Dallas sucks!" hatred spewed at every turn, and the fact that they'd rather the Cowboys lose than the Eagles win. When things like this happen, I can't help but think that's it's well deserved.

Eagles fans are the best combination of mouthy and pathetic. The universe definitely balances that stuff out. The angrier they get, the more stuff like this happens to keep it going. It's beautiful to see.

I'll be so bummed if and when that franchise ever gets a Superbowl.

I don't think we have to worry for a while!

Eh, Egirls should be more worried about a woeful O Line and the lack of draft picks to fix it, along with removing the Chip stink.

With all of the praise that is being thrown his way, Dak Prescott's greatest achievement this season may be to remain humble.

For many young rookie QBs it would certainly be a serious challenge to overcome. I think Dak will handle it exceptionally well, despite the fact that his performances have been so highly touted. While at Miss. St., he was touted there for years and looked upon as a godsend. It didn't keep him from being grounded, though and he was loved and well-respected for it throughout his college career.

In view of his experiences, past and present, I'm extremely confident that Dak will handle any lavish praise with the Cowboys admirably and maintain his confident yet humble approach throughout his time with them. In fact, it's one of the first things that gets mentioned by the media. Handling himself with class appears to be one of the reasons why the team and the staff as well took to him so readily. He'll be fine.

Mcnabb rubbed some people the wrong way and grated on them.

Everyone loves Dak.

I might add to your brilliant observation, that no one who follows the Giants, Eagles, or Commanders feels the way you characterized.

But let's no quibble. Good post.

Honestly if Dak's ceiling is Donovan McNabb, we'll do really well for the better part of the decade after Romo retires.

People around here hate to admit it, but Donovan McNabb was insanely good for a long time.

For where he was drafted, McNabb was a huge disappointment. He had maybe 1-2 years of elite play before being just average to good...or injured. I don't want to have a McNabb, I want a franchise QB that is better. Didn't think he was smart, terrible leader, and too injury prone. That crap with Owens was ridiculous coming from a QB. McNabb is far more like Cam Newton. No thank you.

I don't think you remember the Eagles running the division for a decade.

They never got over the hump but 10 win seasons were nearly guaranteed for a stretch. All of which was McNabb -- but alcoholism did him in.

That was during our dark times and Commanders were irrelevant. In McNabb's time in the east, he won 0 Superbowls and lost 1 along with a lot of championship and playoff season losses. Eli, on the other hand, got a Super Bowl ring. If we are talking about top 5 picks that lived up to their draft spot it would be Manning, not McNabb.

And I put the Eagles success on Andy Reid far more than i would McNabb.

True. McNabb was very good for a long time, however; he was never what I would call an elite quarterback. He would always have those stinker games at the worst possible times. As an athlete and a leader, he was top-notch, a guy you can win with most of the time.

5 NFC title games, 1 Super Bowl appearance .... I'd take that in a heart beat.
