He reminds me nothing of McNabb, I wish those comparisons would stop.
And I put the Eagles success on Andy Reid far more than i would McNabb.
Honestly if Dak's ceiling is Donovan McNabb, we'll do really well for the better part of the decade after Romo retires.
People around here hate to admit it, but Donovan McNabb was insanely good for a long time.
I think the only place I can see a little similarity is the body type. If you compare Dak and McNabb, they both have similar lower bodies with their hips and legs. Other than that though I dont see anything else that would garner comparisons.
Great point. With all of the praise that is being thrown his way, Dak Prescott's greatest achievement this season may be to remain humble.
But Dak supposedly has a wild tendency with accuracy at times. I have to say he's closer to mcnabb based on his college body of work, but that doesn't mean the comparisons are set in stone. Tony was Brett favre early in his career, and now he's more Peyton manning like.
Tony still tries to do too much at times. Anyone remember our 12-4 season when the Eagles whipped us on Thanksgiving Day? Or the Panthers game last year before Tony got hurt again? Point is, all QB's have a couple "head scratching" games EVERY year, I don't care if their name is Manning, Rogers, Brees, Favre or Romo. Dak will be no different. Lets just hope he can stay on the bench for a year or 2 and learn from Romo.....
LOL...we talking about PRACTICE! I like Dak like most but it's preseason for crying out loud. Tap the brakes.
It is not too early to say he is a guy who *could* be the heir apparent. It is way to early to suggest Dak can be our quarterback of the future, but I was excited about his potential from the moment Dallas drafted him. And that's because he's got it all.....from the neck up. Character, moxie, work ethic, drive, leadership, all that good stuff. I know Goff and Wentz have that too. So what's the difference?
Expectations. Goff and Wentz come in as top five picks with the tag of "franchise savior". Prescott, meanwhile, was the 135th overall pick that came in under the expectations of "possible backup and developmental passer".
One of the best players in Philly's history.Honestly if Dak's ceiling is Donovan McNabb, we'll do really well for the better part of the decade after Romo retires.

McNabb strength was throwing the deep ball. It was all the other throws he struggled with. For the record, I think Dak will be better than Donovan McNabb. He's already shown a much better ability with the deep ball and with accuracy.

The best part of this is reading Eagles' fans comments at the bottom of the page. How much would it suck to give up that much to get the lesser player if you're PHI fan? A lot.
We might as well forget about Prescott.. See ya in 2 years maaaaybe Dak.
I don't get that either. Like if we get overly excited than Dak will regress or something lol. We should be excited. Nothing is more exciting in football than finding a diamond in the rough that could be a franchise player.I don't get why people keep saying tap the brakes? I mean don't we all have reason to be excited?
