From EaglesWire: Dak Prescott's standout play could haunt the Eagles

Hey if he goes off again i'll be ecstatic but I don't feel like this is a toy that the media will just let us put back on the shelf.

The guy is becoming an NFL lightning rod over a couple of pre-season games.

I don't know that he can do enough harm in tonight's game to stop the media from contriving stories. IMO that ship sailed already.

Prescott seems to have caught the attention of a lot of NFL fan bases. Hes having the most explosive preseason of any rookie this year
Not only this preseason , any rookie QB ever in recent times , as in one of the other threads pointed out.

Of course, this is cinderella story , he will face some adversity , but the traits you wanna see all there , so in effect he has tons of upside.

Yep...

What he is doing is not sustainable for any rookie ever. He's playing out of his mind.

I'm pumped about Prescott but in a way i'm kinda hoping he bombs tonight so this hype train will cool off a little and this can get back to being about Romo again.

If Prescott goes off tonight i'm afraid we will here his name all season.
How's that a bad thing though?

I gotta agree with this. Dak's a Cowboy, so we should cheer for his success and not hope he fails.

I've heard some concern of whether the Cowboys have struck gold but what I mostly hear on Philly sports radio is mock praise. Oh, that Dak Prescott should have been the 1st pick! We should have drafted him! Didn't you see his preseason performances?!

Hope he fails tonight to de-rail the hype train? Heck no. This is about finding the next QB. Let it be him so we don't have to go back to the drawing board. Imagine having Dak in place and Zeke in place and Dez in place and the world's best offensive line in place for our future. We may actually be able to upgrade the We-fense and have something.

Romo's starting this year regardless. You'll never convince me having 2 franchise caliber QBs on the roster is a bad thing. Especially when one is old and broken down. I hope Prescott continues to shine and show he is worthy of being the next QB. It's without a doubt the single most positive thing that can come from this offseason. If you're old enough to remember pre-Romo you know what it's like not having a QB. We don't want to be there again.

I hope he lights it up again. I don't think he will. This is a good, proud defense. They've seen all the dak hype & will want none of it in their house. We'll see.
