Lol.. Somebody got p-Ed off that the Patriots got away with Deflate-gate so they got this story published.

BTW, here is an article from December 2006, one year before Spygate that shows they were cheating and Bill Bellichek was lying the very next year.

http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sports_football_dolphins/2006/12/stealing_signs_.html

“There is nothing illegal about what Miami did. However, the Patriots got caught doing something early in the year they weren’t supposed to be doing. They had a man on their sideline dressed in coaching attire with a video camera who was presumably videotaping the other team’s signals. You can’t do that. They were warned. If it happens again, they’re going to be disciplined.”[\QUOTE]

And guess who Bellichek doesn't like very much... Casserly

I could have written this ESPN article myself based on doing a quick google search.

This doesn't even touch the accusations of the Patriots operating at different frequencies than the NFL and sending signals to Brady outside the 15 second limit.

If anybody is interested, just do a google search of PROPOSED rule changes by Goodell when Spectre was breathing down his neck at the end of the 2007-2008 season, some of them clearly encompassing this specific allegation.

Even Kraft's son in an interview with a Boston newspaper addressed this allegation very quickly by saying only that the NFL provides there own equipment to communicate with. But none of that addressed the allegation.

ESPN reported when it fist blew, Spygate that is, Norv Turner locking his playbook up and had the feeling the Patriots were videotaping their locker room.

All of this is documented.

I just posted an article from December 2006, in the Miami Herald where Casserly is documented as saying the Patriots were dressing personnel up as opposing teams coaches and taping signals. And as an aside, Bellichek despises Casserly. I'm sure this is why.

The implication with this article that it came to the notice of the owners, particularly Kraft in 2007 and the league in general, as well as Bellichek is a load of hog-wash. The NFL put on a show in 2007. This was a lot bigger than anybody knows.

The only reason it even got this big was because Spectre came breathing down the neck on the NFL. If it weren't for him, it would have died with a thud.

And it got to the point that Ted Kennedy, the good buddy of Kraft stepped in. And Goodell also has those connections, because his father was literally a right hand man of the Kennedy's. He took over some major functions when Robert Kennedy was shot. This is how Kraft and Goodell are such buddies.

And Kraft is a major player in CBS, through his past connections with Viacom. Don't people every ask the question why CBS suddenly became a Patriots love-fest, when nobody cared about them ever? This coincides with Kraft coming into the league and him being instrumental in CBS winning the AFC rights.

I guarantee you the Deflategate scandal was just as much a show and Bellichek could have easily been implicated. Again, he doesn't fall under the CBA and if he was called out, Goodell would have had to effectively come down major on the whole organization.

Like I said, the least path of resistance was Brady taking the blame. It gave them the figurehead and made it look like they were serious. Goodell was just protecting the Pats, like always.

You know what I hate about all of this? The way the media feels compelled to stick -gate on the end of everything. Was Watergate about water? Adding -gate to the end of a word doesn't make it a scandal, it just makes the author an idiot.

The Watergate scandal was a major political scandal that occurred in the United States in the 1970s as a result of the June 17, 1972 break-in at the Democratic National Committee (DNC) headquar.ters at the Watergate office complex in Washington, D.C.,

Here's a picture of the WATERGATE COMPLEX

Its was called "Watergate" because the stuff happened at Watergate

Here is the article referring to the Norv Turner incident I was talking about from September 2007 when Spygate first came out. Notice this is an ESPN article as well, meaning all this is well known. ESPN, like Yakuza said, did this because it draws ratings and the timing is perfect:

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=chadiha_jeffri&id=3017423

"Normally, Turner might not be so overly paranoid about entering another team's stadium. But ever since news spread that the Patriots were videotaping the defensive signals of the New York Jets during New England's 38-14 win last Sunday, extra precautions were being made.

'Norv wanted us to know that he was going to be careful,' one Chargers player said. 'We'd already heard a lot of things about the Patriots in the past. But what happened this week has made everybody a lot more cautious. He was even talking about keeping Patriots employees from entering our hotel.'

In fact, this article documents the notion among certain NFL players, the Patriots were crossing all limits in the amount of cheating they were doing:

"There isn't a team in the league that doesn't try to steal signals [but] I haven't heard about teams recording footage like the Patriots were," said one longtime NFL assistant coach. "But you can bet everybody is trying to steal in some way. In fact, you can go to any NFL game and you'll find some coach whose sole job is to look for defensive signals."

Added one NFC personnel director: "What the Patriots did is extremely rare because it's against the rules. It's one of those things that if it's not Bill Belichick involved, you wonder if the coach survives something like that. What is more normal is something like a guy sitting in a press box trying to steal signs by looking at the coaches. That's why the home team usually has its back to the press box when they're in their own stadium."

This idea that the Patriots are the NFL standard or excellences was just force-fed down the publics throats. Everybody hates them and most people can't stand Brady for him to be the allege golden-boy.

Any talk about lies begins and ends with all the whoppers the NFL has told over the past 7 months.

Yet, as you say, we are supposed to believe them now.

How does something start with the NFL when the Patriots cheated in the first place?

They were the first to lie.

It wasn't Roger Goodell paying guys to dress up as Kraft Productions and film on the other team's sidelines.

And it wasn't Roger Goodell paying guys thousands of dollars, giving them sneakers and autographs to deflate footballs.

Just like it wasn't Roger Goodell getting wistful in a speech being remorseful to owners for cheating.

And it wasn't Roger Goodell that said he 'didn't understand the rule.'

Nor did Roger Goodell say that he never touched footballs during the week.

What Goodell has to explain was his helping coverup the Patriots cheating which if Eric Mangini didn't get fed up with them trying to cheat against him, nothign would have ever been done about it.

So, you're wrong.

It starts with the Patriots and ends with the Patriots. Kraft is a snake oil salesman. Belichick has zero respect for the game of football. And Brady is a sham. All together their legacies are forever tarnished.

Here is an article in April 2008, when Specter was on Goodell's neck, addressing the proposed rule changes by Goodell to protect the integrity of the game after Spygate:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/03/31/AR2008033102338.html
Goodell first outlined his proposals 3 1/2 weeks ago in a memo to the competition committee. They include unannounced inspections of locker rooms, stadium press boxes and in-game communication equipment, and a lowering of the standard of proof necessary for discipline to be imposed for violations. Neither of those measures requires the owners' consent.

Why would their be unannounced inspections of in-game communication equipment if the allegations regarding the signals to Brady after the 15 second cut-off period had no merit?

A bunch of proposed rule changes for such a small issue such as being in the wrong place to tape signals... Yeah, sure...

I especially love the 'process' ruling by Berman this time around, you know about Brady not being able to gain access to certain witnesses and Patriots homers being like, the whole arbitration process was a fraud..

All the while ignoring the fact that nobody got access to Matt Walsh outside the Patsie homers...

That and Walsh was not willing to talk until he got an indemnification agreement. Everybody thought he was going overboard (myself included) until it was found that the Patriots were threatening a lawsuit until Specter got involved and forced the indemnification agreement to be drawn up.

And Walsh basically admitted that he and other Pats guys saw a formation that the Rams were going to use in the walkthru and reported it to Belichick. It's not actually taping a walkthru, but it was still cheating.

None of those things happened, and you know it.

How does it feel that this entire investigation is based on a lie? How heartbroken were you when the 11/12 figure was proven false and the real numbers were proven to be within the range science predicts?

how does it feel to try and defend cheating?

I have never seen anyone so blind that they cannot see what is slapping them in the face like a dead fish time and again.

Bellicek has created an atmosphere of cheating. Kraft clearly signed off on it. And you claim it does not exist.

Just like Saddams Information Minister. And I bet you cannot see how much we are all LAUGHING at you.

The Patriots didn't have people disguised on the other teams sidelines filming?

They didn't lie about the how many games they taped? Or they were only taping defensive signals?

News to me...since the Patriots admitted to it.

There are scientists that still say that the balls deflated beyond the amount they should have. As I've said all along...it's an inexact science and what we are left with is Jastremski and McNally's texts discussing deflating footballs for a payment and McNally dubbing himself the 'deflator' and then video evidence showing McNally breaking protocol by going into the bathroom by himself with the footballs which gave him ample time to deflate the footballs. Along with when the DeflateGate story broke...Jastremski working as a go-between for Brady and consoling him so he's not going to break under the pressure.

The footballs were underinflated. The guys that were underinflating the footballs were shown to be discussing it and the video evidence showed where and when they deflated them. Those are the facts and no scientist who is a Patriots fanboy (like Tom Healy) or has ties to Boston (like Michael Naughton) can refute that. And they can't tell us that it's an exact science.

I don't think anybody here is 'heartbroken' over whatever the matter is. Some of us eschew cheating and cheaters. And that's what Kraft, Belichick and Brady are. And if they don't like it...don't cheat in the first place.
