Someone should have said "You mean a problem with the coaching you hire, Jerry?" He's a sycophant.

What or which specific coaching additions do you feel makes the team better?

Kellen Moore is addition by subtraction but the coaching additions were uninspired.
change period...

they recognized and area of need , impress fans?? LMAO that what you think they need to do inspire fans with hires..sure they come here and make sure they surf FB and SM to make sure they make the move for fans approvals', get over it.. doesn't need to be inspiring if a HC who BTW been pretty successful in short time here already makes the move. ill trust them until its otherwise proven to be a bad move.

got it , they recognize a need for change and made it like Nolan gone, Quinn in. Garett out MM in ,many fans were not impressed or inspired by those moves..ironic now.

its all the small moves both coaching and players that add up its called and offseason , and the season will play out which were good or bad, not the initial impression fans get... what team do you own and run exactly? you hire and judge Soley on names?

What do you expect from an 80 year old drunken child molesting clown. Intelligent thoughts?

It was a joke.

McCarthy may not be the best coach but at least he’s a real NFL coach compared to the last guy who had no business being the coach.
People just like to stir things up over nothing. McCarthy and Jones seem to have a great relationship. Nothing wrong with a little joking around and playing with the media. This is a non-story.

Talk about blowing something way out of proportion...but hey it's getting clicks right?
Exactly! 100% agree. It's a shame that no one has a sense of humor anymore. Everyone is just looking for a reason to complain and get bent out of shape. It appears to me that McCarthy and Jones seem to enjoy working together. They even made the comment that McCarthy has been more involved in the draft with the Cowboys than at any other time in his career.

exactly, and he is also saying the jones boys are smart and great at drafting, so the problem must be the coaching.
He is so stupid he forgot he is the one that hires them, and he endorsed JG as a great coach, and future tom landry for a decade.
Then he hires mike but keeps kellen, and I dont think mike is actually great either, but want to see how he does as play caller.

Jones boys did hire quinn though, so they did one thing right, and this comment could even apply to quinn, who turned the swiss cheese defense
they had into a pretty good defense.
Jerry and his boy are arrogant morons playing at the job they do,because jerry owns the team.
They love to talk to media, as it makes them feel important.
All this is why I never want to see them hold up another SB trophy.
But you can see the difference between MM and Garrett. Worlds of difference in running the team. Quinn is a product of that.

Jerry also mocked himself for wanting Johnny Manziel. He mocked Stephen as being responsible for all the bad picks. He mocked the press a little also.

The way McCarthy reacted, it was obviously an inside joke between the owner and coach, and it was received playfully. If anything, Jerry was mockingly chiding the media for claiming that McCarthy is in the hot seat - after leading the team to back-to-back 12 win seasons for the first time in 30 years. Mike seemed pretty secure in his position with the Jones. I don’t think McCarthy was the target of the joke. Jerry was mocking the media and himself more.

The problem is most coaches do not want to coach for this GM
Actually we do not know that.
When you bring in Garrett as OC, and the universe knew he would eventually be HC, then he was here as long as he was. And MM was basically the only HC interview to replace him.
How do we know that no HC would?

The Universe was surprised when Parcels was hired, and at that time, people was shocked that it actually worked as long as it did.

I understand that thought about Jerry. But we really do not know.

Nice post. This is more like the reasoning. Fans need something to berate Jerry about. As if there is not enough out there already.

If a great draft or the top few picks are, Will McClay gets credit, it not Jerry gets the blame. But he is GM in title.

Anyone notice how low Jerry's voice was. Not as loud as usual. Maybe he has a Spring cold but did not sound the same as usual.

There's only one major problem, Jerry, and it has a drinking problem, a fun baby, and a 27-year run of embarrassing the city and this franchise on and off the field.
27 years of failure... it is so damn easy to win SBs, how come hardly none of his competition have caught up in SB wins?

I disagree. I don’t think it’s a great relationship when your boss fires your assistants out of spite, makes it clear that you’re coaching for your job, and then makes jokes to reporters about how you’re not any good at it.

I know we’ve all gotten used to Jerry, but this is the same nonsense that drove away Jimmy Johnson and Bill Parcells. Remember when Jerry got drunk and told a bunch of randos how he really felt about Parcells? He tried to play that off as a joke too.
