Johnson was his college buddy and he got rid of Jimmy because Jerry felt Jimmy disrespected him.

Switzer was a college wishbone coach with zero NFL experience and had been ran out of college several years earlier. Again, this was someone that Jerry knew personally. He had no business being the head coach of an NFL team.

McCarthy was putrid his last two years in Green Bay. His players hated him. He was late to his own practices. He also lied to get the Cowboys job.

.,. go gum that nonsense elsewhere, im 53 i watched every game and followed this story in real time. much much more facts to say it was mutual, period and more facts knowing Johnson was not going to be here much ,longer than 1996 anyway as like parcels they move a lot for new Challanges and given that information no way Jimmy would have fared much better than the last 2 seasons without him with an NFCCG loss and a SB win. so it would have pretty much had the same results and he leaves after that and the new FA, CAP, and other NFL changes that showed din MIA he didn't mimic the success. get over it.!
