So, to be clear, I did used to do mock drafts on the old site, and there will likely be more to come before draft time. One thing my mock drafts usually include is at least an explanation for why I want the player. This is usually a top 10 list. I'd use YouTube links, but I don't want a page full of videos. So, let's get started!

Round 1 Pick 19: Smith, Roquan, ILB/OLB, Georgia (A+) I'm sure you know who this is and why I want him on our team.
Round 2 Pick 18: Crosby, Tyrell, OT, Oregon (A-) http://www.nfl.com/draft/2018/profiles/tyrell-crosby?id=2559836 The link shows that he is compared to Jeremy Parnell. If you don't remember him, he was phenominal on the right side filling in for Doug Free. Drafting Crosby here allows us to move Collins back to LG.
Round 3 Pick 17: St Brown, Equanimeous, WR, Notre Dame (A) As I have said on a few other threads, this guy reminds me a lot of Calvin Johnson, and he is very underrated. If we do keep Dez, he'd be amazing to have team up with Dez. If not, then he's a great replacement for Dez.
Round 4 Pick 16: Warner, Fred, OLB, Brigham Young (A) Takes over for Hitchens if we don't keep him, or provides more depth to an area that we have great need.
Round 4 Pick 37: Kelly, Kameron, CB, San Diego State (A+) http://www.nfl.com/draft/2018/profiles/kameron-kelly?id=2560094 A very underrated CB who would be great to have on our team.
Round 5 Pick 34: Neal, Siran, SS, Jacksonville State (A+) Very underrated safety. As stated, I am not going to post a lot of YouTube videos, but I must make an exception here to introduce you to him as he goes to a small school. (BTW, I'll change it to an ESPN link if the moderators request it).
Round 5 Pick 36: Hill, Holton, CB, Texas (A) Another good CB to have.
Round 6 Pick 19: Obasih, Chikwe, DE, Wisconsin (A-) Would give us more DE depth
Round 6 Pick 34: PJ Hall, DT, Sam Houston State (A+) Bias alert: He's an old friend of mine from college. However, he's still a tremendous DT. Here's his SHSU measurables: http://www.gobearkats.com/ViewArticle.dbml?ATCLID=208142270&DB_OEM_ID=19900. The link also contains his stats which may be useful.
Round 7 Pick 18: Gates, Nick, OG, Nebraska (A) Gives us depth at guard.

I hope you guys like this mock draft.

That 'aint happening. Collins is the ROT and Martin is the ROG now and in the future. Why does this keep coming up? Some keep saying move Martin to ROT and Collins to LOG must be dreaming or something.

Very well, though, I still like Crosby. He's a very strong RT. Like I said and like the link says, he's VERY similar to Parnell who was very good for us. Especially with the power he has in the run game. However, I can definitely change it if you'd like.

Round 2 Pick 18: Hernandez, Will, OG, UTEP (A-) http://www.nfl.com/draft/2018/profiles/will-hernandez?id=2559828 I'd LOVE it if he somehow becomes available here. If this happens, our first 3 picks would be dynamite.

In the event he should be available in round 2, the above shows what I'd LOVE to see happen.

Appreciate your draft ; I don't think Smith comes out of the top ten. That doesn't mean squat JMO

That 'aint happening. Collins is the ROT and Martin is the ROG now and in the future. Why does this keep coming up? Some keep saying move Martin to ROT and Collins to LOG must be dreaming or something.

This time last year, I was saying the thing ( Collins back to G ) but like you said, FO pretty much shut that down. Bottom line, we need a LG in the worst way.........

Let me ask you this. Could he play LT? Could be swing tackle option if so

Well, in that case, Hernandez (if available) would replace the tackle that I recommended (but, I can't help but wonder if he could be a guard too).

I suppose it's possible.

I'm not down with waiting to the 6th to target the DL

Yes, that was the one area that I wasn't so sure about with my draft regarding the DE, but, I think the DE that I did select is very underrated. Furthermore, I can tell you that PJ Hall will be an excellent DT. He's one strong and powerful player. Also, having had classes with him, he's a very smart individual. Though, Obasih is a player that I know very little about. I suppose I can rotate the OT for a DE (which I was thinking about doing) and have the OL addressed in round 6. There was a player that I sort of like in round 6 at the OG position.

My critique of your draft.......my opinion- not what Dallas would do.
1) Love RSmith --- I want an impact player that upgrades the team the most but Roquan is a great player. ( I would prefer a dominant 1T because that the weakest position currently, IMO).
2) Unless TSmith or Collins get hurt, he might not see the field for years. (I want a player to challenge to be a pro bowler and a starter within year)
3) Like St Brown, could be a good draft pick. (Want a guy who looks like a solid player for years to come as soon as he develops - good choice)
4-7) Rest probably won't see the field for 2-3 years, and only if they develop.(4th- Want a Boom or Bust guys with high upside) (5th-7th developmental or specialty guys)

So you got a swing tackle -- maybe
You got a LB in the first who will either split reps or will cause Lee/Smith to split reps
You got a WR to replace Dez, when we don't know if they are going to extend or cut him (I like it though)
You got guys to develop, IMO who at least for a year or two won't beat out the guys who are there.

not bad, not great --- jmo

Fair enough about point 2. And glad you like my third pick. As stated, this won't be my last mock draft before the draft, so there will likely be new ones that I post.

I love Roquan Smith. Just not sure about the rest of the draft. Great effort though

Let me correct myself. I like Brown a ton, I just don't see anyway he will be there in the 3rd. Lowest I see is mid 2nd although I have been wrong once before haha

I'd still be happy to have him in round 2. In fact, it may actually work for my mock draft better if I do that. Whether we get him in round 2 or 3 doesn't matter to me. Brown would amazing to have here.
