He's another couch fan on the internet giving his opinion and I'm the same. And my opinion is, he's biased towards Romo. He's always been, so I'm here to even things out.
Just to dip in and then I'm dipping out... But you're just as much biased AGAINST Romo and it really has nothing to do with Dak. You even changed your whole posting style and username because you hated (hate is a strong word) so much.

I'm honestly surprised at how animated you are over this. I mean, Dak gets as many props as anyone, but I've now seen you in a couple threads go full homer over him. Surprising for real.

Dipping out....but wanted it noted about your longtime opinion of Romo to anyone who might be new to CZ.

I think Game 1 was Dak's worst game. Then I think Game 2 and 6 are tied for his second worst game. I actually thought Dak was a bit over-confident or something else, spending too much time in the pocket. I dont think he was doing that previously.
I'm not trying to be a butt here but hear me out. His first game was his worst game, but it was still good enough to win. His last game was pretty darn good IMO. You have to remember that Green Bay gets paid too. They play a 3/4 defense, and they are coached by a coach who's good at confusing players, especially rookies.

That defense isn't going to allow you to just sit back there and hit guy after guy, that's not how this works. There are teams that are paid to screw up QBs, confuse them, and make things hard on him. This is what I graded Dak on, and I thought he did an EXCELLENT job of working through all of this.

I think we are also very happy with Dak.
But we still want him to improve, such as holding onto the ball too long like Romo.
I recall he would roll out after a while in previous games.

lol, I'm not overly biased towards Dak. The one thing that started me on this rant this week was the game day thread. I kept seeing guys like mattjones and others constantly making snared remarks towards Dak every time he did something wrong, but the disappeared once he made a remarkable play. This set me off because it's like, now we're winning and all these guys do is come along and break down everything the guy does wrong. This is the time where we're supposed to be supporting guys who are helping our team do well, yet we have these guys. When Romo was winning in 2014, you never heard one bad thing come out of my mouth.

I don't think Game 1 was Dak's fault, at all. I put that all on the coaches. I believe they hamstrung him because he's a rookie and never really gave him a chance to succeed. Clearly, they figured it out quickly. Because how he's played, the calls they've made, and all that that entails, has been a complete 180.

Perhaps this is more about CZ in-fighting than it is the post (OP) at hand, WG.

He held the ball because he trusts his offensive line. The fumble came in 2.5 seconds. He was sacked once which caused the fumble.

I'd like to know where in the game he held the ball too long.

I did not watch tape.
It was just my feeling watching game 6 compared to before.
It made me nervous how long he was sitting in the pocket.

In my opinion, the Green Bay game was his 2nd best game. Based on not having Dez, playing in Lambeau, being on national TV, against a tough confusing defense.

Lol!!!! As long as your heat doesn't involve our Boys, Waldo, I can take the heat, my brudda :D

I deserve this, and in the NFL GDT's, you're gonna have a lot more fun with me when NE is playing and our Boys aren't. This Sunday you gotta be there to keep me in check, bubba :)

I thought he held the ball because he could. The line was blocking pretty good which gave him time to sit at times. Other times he moved in back field to give him a tad more time. And other times he rolled out. Go look at New England, Brady sits back there like he's enjoying a Margareta on a Saturday afternoon. Aaron Rodgers was sitting back there having a nice chat on his cell phone.

Sounds like we lost. Where are the completions he made, and the touch downs he made? He had 18 of them.

We can agree to disagree here.
Something seemed off to me, whether it was nervous trying to keep his job, Green Bay mystic, Aaron Rodgers on the other side, or whatever.

But I think we can all be quite happy with the 4th round comp pick playing like a top 3 pick.
He needs to get better though if we are going to win this year, especially with the pass rush, or lack thereof.

Greedy fans always want more lol

What exactly did you expect a 4th round rookie to do man? Seriously? Did you expect him to go in there and completely destroy Green Bay. Tell me what planet this has been done on because we've never done that in years.

Outstanding, Fuzzy. I agree with almost everything except the Dak INT. It was opined during the telecast that Witten had Y option responsibilities and Dak made the wrong read. How badly Dak missed on that throw would seem to suggest that that is true. What is it that you saw on tape that would suggest it was a poor throw rather than a poor read? Thanks, in advance.

But the rush was getting closer while he was hanging in there.
Aikman did that but Aikman does not have the rollout ability like Dak.

I actually like it when Dak rolled out after a little while to make things easier on the line.
He can throw well outside the pocket, and that buys a few more seconds.
I hate it when Romo hangs in there then starts doing Houdini act.
The Houdini act is good for making a so-so team into an exciting almost great team.
The emphasis is on almost, because you are bound to make some huge mistake relying on such plays.
I think that is why Aikman is always the gold standard for me.
Dak can be Aikman like (weaker arm but good enough), but with the extra dual threat that makes defenses crazy.

Clove made the first post in the GB playoff game post game thread. He explicitly blamed Romo, who had dang near a perfect rating. He got called on it and disappeared from the thread.

We are greedy.
He is no longer a 4th round pick, as he is playing like a top 3 pick.
That history is out the door.
If he played Green Bay like he played Bengals, it would have been absolute destruction, likely going over 40.
