He hasn't been challenged with that but I do believe that a healthy Romo would have the same record or better given this running attack and opportunistic defense.
I dont and the reason being is that when Romo is in there they tend to fall in love with the pass, the balanced offense goes out the window, and bad things start happening.

I still can't get over this. Dak had a bad game? Really? I mean, it wasn't perfect, but it was by far NOT a bad game. He hit his out routes, his deep routes, his screens, his slants, he hit every throw in the book. Did he miss a few, yes. Please tell me what QB in the history of the NFL hasn't missed a few during a game? Oh yeah, what did he do?

A rookie 4th round pick went in to Lambeau field, no Dez Bryant. Let that sink in for a moment. NO DEZ BRYANT. Went in to LAMBEAU FIELD, and went toe to toe with an MVP QB in Aaron Rodgers. Lead his team to 5 scoring drives, TDs and beat Green Bay and all you can talk about are some silly incompletions? You guys have lost touch with what it's like to be a winner.
Are you pacing? After reading all these replies, I'm reminded of a Seinfeld episode with Costanza constantly saying, "I should have said that!":)

That is fair but if he is making the wrong read then that creates a different set of issues. It's an alternate explanation but it is not encouraging.
That's exactly what I'm looking for, brother. I'll take the truth over a sugar coat all day long. I won't needle you for it but if you choose to expand, I'm all ears, bro.

You mean like the QBs last year?
lol they don't realize those kind of posts undermine what Romo did in 2014. "Any qb" could have had success with that O-line and Demarco Murray rushing for 1800 yards right?

Looks like Witten already made his turn when Dak threw the ball.
Something is strange there because it was a short pass and it went totally the wrong way...

It was a seem route pass but Witten was going for a small post. Simple misread, Waldo

With all due respect, Clove, I didn't read that Dak had a "bad game" anywhere in Fuzzy's post. He said he had his most inaccurate game and that's absolutely true. If Green Bay had actually been the Green Bay (and Aaron Rodgers, specifically) that we've all been used to it would have been a completely different outcome. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not going to minimize what Dak has done this season. It's been nothing short of outstanding. The fact remains, a competent secondary would have exploited Dak's inaccuracy to a higher degree this past Sunday. Now, Fuzzy also credited Dak with pulling it together and commended him on his long ball accuracy but you were right there in the game thread and certainly saw the posts from other posters saying early in the thread that Dak was definitely "off" today. It was true and is still true on Wednesday. Had Dak been as accurate as he was, say against Cincinnati, We would have won that game by 20 points+. Now, I'm not one to complain that we "didn't win by enough" (in fact I absolutely LOATHE that type of poster) and Dak did his job well enough to win (by a damned good margin. His stats will bear out that he had, arguably, his best passing day if you go by yardage and TDs. It doesn't change the fact that he was the most inaccurate day that we've witnessed thus far and I'm not talking about a completion percentage, I'm talking about physically watching those passes and he had more ugly passes in that game than he had in the previous 5 combined.

I too think Fuzzy is pretty objective here.
He did say the long ball accuracy was good, and I agree some of the short passes were off.
The interception is more a mystery though.

This argument made sense prior to 2014. They ran the ball ad nauseum under Romo with 29. 21 is better at it than 29.

Do you think Dak was off early, or do you think he was confused by what Green Bay was doing? THEY GET PAID TO STOP QBs. Do you realize this? They get paid to stop Dak Prescott. They also get paid to stop Tom Brady, and other Qbs who come into Lambeau field.

Guess what? In 2014, guess who Romo had in his lineup. He had Dez Bryant. Dak had no such guy on his team. He didn't have 11 years of experience behind him, he had 5 weeks. You guys act like he was an 8th year player playing against Cleveland at home.

You mean like the QBs last year?

Yup. Do I think they would be 5-1? No, but Dak has not been consistent with his accuracy as pointed out in the OP. He can improve on that, and I expect he will. I consider Dak to be a superb bus driver at this point, but he has a lot to prove and this forum is over reacting which is no surprise.

It would be nice if we could have an actual discussion about our QB without the rose tinted glasses on.

@Clove

Please brother.

Fuzzy made an amazing post and instead of arguing with him perhaps join in the discussion.

I will never stop showing love to you, but your posts to Fuzzy speak more of a message board agenda than criticism.

What exactly are you asking him, my brotha? Did you want all daisies and sunshine when Dak wasn't, In fact, all daisies and sunshine?

Again, Fuzzy's Thought's are a critical assessment of the game.

Dak is good, but this forums blind love affair is already growing tiresome. We're all happy about Dak, but lets be honest here, any QB is going to have success when Zeke and this Oline are as dominant as they are.
You lost me at your last sentence. Zeke may have yielded more wins last year but your crazy if you think any combination of Weeden, Cassel, or Moore would have this team 5 & 1 right now.

How does being confused lead to throwing behind and low?

Ahh, dont agree here. Think Dak is already a lot better than some QBs in the nfl.
Dak has been cool and poised.
A lot of QBs never learn that.
Some of the passes were pretty accurate.
He makes mistakes, but I think most of us are pretty $%#^ grateful with what we got.

It's a team game. The secondary, WR, TE, OL, and RB were outstanding as were Lee and Zeke.

Dak's performance on 3rd and long included missed throws, two fumbles, and an interception.
His other completions consisted of 3 Touch downs, several first downs, 3 long balls, one was dropped. First down after first down to put the game out of reach. My point to you is, why didn't you mention those instead of all the negative stuff?

What is a superb bus driver? An elite game manger?

Because I'm discussing it with you and you are hypervigilant about Dak.

The OP clearly indicates that I am more tempered in my view but when dealing with happy fans you have to show the contrary reality to even things out.

Frankly, I'm thinking about putting you on ignore. You are all but derailing the thread with your umbrage at any perceived Dak slight.
