My criticism to him is that instead of leading with the positive points of Dak Prescott, all he does is tears the guy down. The 4th round QB who stood tall in the face of adversity, and all Fuzzy does is talk about how awful he was. And to me, this is the epitome of negative bias towards the new QB.

Yup. Do I think they would be 5-1? No, but Dak has not been consistent with his accuracy as pointed out in the OP. He can improve on that, and I expect he will. I consider Dak to be a superb bus driver at this point, but he has a lot to prove and this forum is over reacting which is no surprise.

It would be nice if we could have an actual discussion about our QB without the rose tinted glasses on.

Bus driver is used by fans who are devoid of football acumen. Who else do you consider "bus drivers," just so I know what I'm dealing with

It was a seem route pass but Witten was going for a small post. Simple misread, Waldo

How about this one?

Ahh, dont agree here. Think Dak is already a lot better than some QBs in the nfl.
Dak has been cool and poised.
A lot of QBs never learn that.
Some of the passes were pretty accurate.
He makes mistakes, but I think most of us are pretty $%#^ grateful with what we got.

I loved how accurate two of his deep passes were. He is absolutely more talented than some starting QB's in this league, but try and name off a starting rookie who has been put into a better position to start from day one. This isn't even a criticism, just something to consider.

Do you think Dak was off early, or do you think he was confused by what Green Bay was doing? THEY GET PAID TO STOP QBs. Do you realize this? They get paid to stop Dak Prescott. They also get paid to stop Tom Brady, and other Qbs who come into Lambeau field.

Guess what? In 2014, guess who Romo had in his lineup. He had Dez Bryant. Dak had no such guy on his team. He didn't have 11 years of experience behind him, he had 5 weeks. You guys act like he was an 8th year player playing against Cleveland at home.
Come on, Clove. No one in this thread has even hinted at what you are asserting. The kid was off. You saw it. We saw it. Everyone saw it. Aikman mentioned it (early). The fact is Cincinnati is a MUCH more formidable defense (especially in the secondary) than Green Bay is and he was on point against that D. Just in case you were wondering, they were paid to stop Dak, also. Dak had no such troubles against them . The kid had an "off" day in his intermediate accuracy. Everyone on the planet saw it, except you, I suppose. Have fun with that stance.

Who do you consider "superb bus drivers" in this league?

How many times did he do this, and how did this affect his 30 point out put? Should he have scored 50?

I don't think in those terms. I don't make up stories about outcomes that rely on more than individual plays.

I think the Lucky throw would have been a TD considering the CB was trailing by over 5 yards. There were throws to TWill and Bease they would have been able to RAC with. Witten would have had at least 7 catches as opposed to 4.

I find the report that he was having trouble reading Witten on his option routes troubling.

By bus driver I simply mean he is deferring to the talent around him and avoiding costly mistakes. The term has a negative connotation, but it really shouldn't. Just a healthy progression that a rookie is lucky to go through if he isn't forced into a situation like Andrew Luck who was expected to carry a team from day one.

No need to start insulting each other either.

My guess is the QB controversy was getting to Dak.
He is human and was pressing a bit.

I still can't get over this. Dak had a bad game? Really? I mean, it wasn't perfect, but it was by far NOT a bad game. He hit his out routes, his deep routes, his screens, his slants, he hit every throw in the book. Did he miss a few, yes. Please tell me what QB in the history of the NFL hasn't missed a few during a game? Oh yeah, what did he do?

A rookie 4th round pick went in to Lambeau field, no Dez Bryant. Let that sink in for a moment. NO DEZ BRYANT. Went in to LAMBEAU FIELD, and went toe to toe with an MVP QB in Aaron Rodgers. Lead his team to 5 scoring drives, TDs and beat Green Bay and all you can talk about are some silly incompletions? You guys have lost touch with what it's like to be a winner.
I'm not sure you understand the concept of a game review. It's one person's assessment of of what they think happened. Fuzzy didn't create a thread to pick on Dak.

If you disagree, just go through each pass on a play by play basis and give your opinion of that exact pass. We'll see who has the most accurate assessment. I can post the play by play recap as a template if you need it.

I stated that he was accurate on his deep throws and made good decisions amongst other things. This take is straight up ignorant. I'm beginning to think you are just trolling me.

I dont and the reason being is that when Romo is in there they tend to fall in love with the pass, the balanced offense goes out the window, and bad things start happening.
I'm pretty sure the plan is to stick with the run like it's 2014. That said, I don't make a change at QB with what I know to this point. I believe they have only scratched the surface of both Dak and Zeke. In hindsight, it is ridiculous the amount of instant contributor's who have been added to this team from this year's draft...and Jaylon Smith could play at some point... ridiculous.

Ok, Solution. I apologize. I thought, for my own reasons, that you were going to call Wilson and Winston bus drivers (not race card).

Much love, brother. Game manager is a more apt descriptor of Dak and his ilk. Tom Brady is the second best QB of all-time and that's largely on the heels of being an elite game manager.

A bus diver is a Dalton, Fitzgerald etc

Because I'm discussing it with you and you are hypervigilant about Dak.

The OP clearly indicates that I am more tempered in my view but when dealing with happy fans you have to show the contrary reality to even things out.

Frankly, I'm thinking about putting you on ignore. You are all but derailing the thread with your umbrage at any perceived Dak slight.
You can put me on ignore, I promise you I will sleep so good tonight. It's like these guys are just waiting for the kid to stumble. I'll bet there's a huge segment of "iffy Cowboys fans" waiting for that one game where they can say, bring back Romo.

These are good times right now because we may finally have a QB that has the balls to actually win in the playoffs and some guys are ticked off because their guy hasn't done it. And I see this all over the board lately. We've gone 20 years without winning any type of meaningful games and here comes a guy who has the tools to possibly get it done, and you have the hyenas' sitting around eating the flesh off of a good QB.

Tony Romo had 10 years to get it done. 10 years... How many more years does he need? Does he need one more, or 5 more? Man, I'm getting old here, I want a Super Bowl.

At least you admit that this is about your bias against Romo.
