Get on the right page, if something works that was because someone else did that, Jerry only does things that turn out bad. :laugh2:

What's really funny is that there are people here that truely believe that.

I would get on the right page but I gave up reading comic strips 20 years ago. I can't follow the script.

I don't see the problem of criticizing where it is merited and acknowledging what someone does good. No one is totally inept or totally flawless.

yup those 2.

but he is pointing to the fact we gave up fasano because of bennett which is somewhat true.

we really thought tony curtis was better than fasano so we let fasano walk and then happened to be sitting there with bennett as the highest rated guy on the board.

we'll see if the phins keep those two starters long term or if like in dallas they view them as not good enough and start to find replacements.

i thinkt he trade was great for both teams.

dallas lost cap cost and jettisoned two guys who had fallen down the depth chart.

miami found 2 guys who could start for them that also knew their system better than the players they inherited. win/win.

On the money. However, some people just can't get over the fact that we traded two players who eventually started for another team for one 2nd day pick.

Makes no defference if neither player figured into our plans. They'd rather we have just released them for nothing so it wouldn't look like we got fleeced in a trade.

Who cares what Sparano thinks? Jason Garrett's body of work tells more than Sparano... And Sparano is over-rated anyways....

I agree. Jerry has done things I disagree with but he has done many other things I do agree with. I also think others should be included in the credit and criticism of choices the Cowboys make, Jerry is the buck stop here guy he has taken that on but that does not mean this is a one man show I think Jerry relies on a lot of input from others in the organization but at the end of the day he is the man.

I'm sure Sparano thinks you over rated as well as an OC. :lmao2:

Ed Werder

Jason Witten
I'd have figured Tim Tebow for the 2nd one.

Werder got the only face to face interview with Brett Favre upon his retirement from the Jets.

~flush~

Yet another stupid agenda sent where it belongs.

You're new around here, aren't you??? :laugh2:

The fish would never. Their big Tuna makes those decisions and he's there for now. No shot. Jerry let us know yesterday T.O is a Cowboy since his contract and production couldn't help us figure that out.

Well duh!

Why is the author comparing Bennett in this trade? Didn't we pick Choice with that 4th rounder Miami gave us?

Nope. But the 4th rounder did turn into Choice AND Scandrick.

But they just can't admit that the trade was a win/win situation for both franchises. There always has to be a winner and a loser, even when the facts staring in their faces dictate otherwise.

I agree...Garrett needs to get out of town, fast!

And the only reason Sparano was so good that year is because of 81.

I'm serious! If Jerry would just go ahead and make Owens the on field OC/player...the sky is the limit!

Why Jerry cannot see that, yet we fans can, is beyond me!

My gripe -- and I have many! :) -- is that we gave up a veteran (Fasano) for a fourth-round pick and we burned a second-round pick to get Martellus.
(I do think Martellus will develop into a good -- not great like Witten -- but good TE.)

Still, in general and as in philosophy set forth by the Supreme High Court in the Hague, it does not seem to be a good idea to groom players like Fasano only to let them go so we can burn a draft pick to stock the same position.
This is Jerra's World and ever day is creeping closer to Bizarro World. "Yes, he a good player. Get rid of him. Take bad player to makes us bad. yes that is bad for us which means good."

And, yeah, Sparano, you should be glad of the Fasano trade. You get a tough and seasoned veteran and we get a raw, immature rapper with dubious work ethic who will take 1-2 years to develop.

Oh Golly!!

I had no idea that Brett Favre liked him, that changes my whole opinion of him.
"Sarcasm off"

Actually, it doesn't surprise me much that those two would get along.

Regardless of whether they do or don't get along is irrelevant. The totally inept claim was as hollow as a bass drum.

The only totally inept thing was that post.

Coming from someone who still believes that TO's fate is still up in the air, I think I can live with your criticism.
