I'd cry lol

But honesty should we have expected anything different from this staff?

Why get that emotional about it? There have been plenty of tangible comments from them that have suggested to cool the jets. Linehan, in particular.

When an offensive coordinator of all people starts talking about things like that, I do not think it is gamesmanship.

I am thinking 8-10 carries.

Randle is avg 14 carries a game
Dallas is avg 23 carries a game

Dallas would have to get a drive going with CM in for him to get many carries.
If 3 and out, maybe 1 carry per poss.

How important is it to start? That just means you are out there for the first drive. It doesn't guarantee more playing time or carries.

In fact, if there are any trade agreements that mention number of starts then you wouldn't want him to start as a technicality, but I don't thinkvthat us the case here.

I'm thinking Randle, who starts well out the gates, will be replaced the closer they get to the goalline. That way he will be fresher as the game progresses. Randle's productivity nosedives after ten carries so it would be more prudent to spread it out.

We could be saying goodbye to McFadden soon, its looking more and more like he was here to steal money.

I think you're onto something.

I wlll chuckle softly to myself if all of this energy devoted to Michael ends up with Garrett giving him five carries.

You can't deny that there has been cause for all the talk.

First DAL traded for Michael after saying nothing would change all camp
Then Dunbar got hurt.
Then Randle did his flying Wallenda's act
Then Fisher, Broaddous and even Randle himself started talking about a big change in carries

LOL at the people that are ready to have a heart attack if Michael doesn't get a bulk of the carries. The reason that he washed out in Seattle is because he's stupid. It was widely reported (especially after the trade) that he had issues grasping a playbook that he'd been involved with for two years, yet magically, he's going to come in and save the season with a mere few weeks in a new offense. The guy was had for a 7th round pick for a reason. Yet, some are naive enough to actually believe that our season hinges on Christine Michael getting more carries. Laughable.

You can't have a guy that doesn't know the offense putting the rest of the team in jeopardy because he's the one out of eleven that has no clue what his responsibility is (especially in pass protection). If I had to guess that's the reason that he can only be trusted (at this point) with one carry a game. If he was that much more of a talent than Randle or McFadden he would have seen more work. He isn't and, thus, he hasn't. Everyone in this organization wants to win. To think they are holding Michael back because they "don't want to admit a mistake" is thinking from the corner of 1st and Main in Stupidville. Shockingly, people actually believe that dumb ******** rather than an actual logical explanation (that the guy has trouble grasping offensive concepts, which already been documented). Zone mentality at it's finest.

Perhaps someone (anyone?) Can explain why Randle has appeared in 1st halves but completely disappeared in 2nd halves.

I'm not sure anyone from the Cowboys can explain that. Their logic (or lack there of) seems wildly inconsistent.

So if Cmike is as stupid as you claim why is a tutoring the guy we just picked up? I mean if can't grasp seattles playbook how can he grasp ours in a few weeks? I'm trying to understand this logic. Sounds like he understands our playbook just fine.

I think he'll get 7-8 carries, and I think he'll pleasantly surprise.

I think Martin was a little rusty at the beginning of the season, and I wouldn't be surprised if he was still dealing with that stinger. Leary was pretty obviously injured because he didn't play nearly to the level he was at last year.

With Collins getting up to speed and this OL(Martin) getting some rest, I think they'll play their best game of the year, from which CMike will obviously benefit. Cassel can actually throw an NFL route, and I think we're going to see it early, so the Giants will play somewhat honest from the get go.

How much playing time he gets will depend on his ability to catch the ball and pass protect. The Giants are a team you can kill underneath with RB dump offs, since they play deep to short. I'd normally be glad to hand McFadden's carries to CMike, but McFadden and Randle can both catch, and this is one defense where that attribute can go a long way.

I think he'll end up touching the ball 8 times, around 55 yards from scrimmage. If he can catch, more. This game will be a test for him, and if he can prove himself then we'll ramp up his production for his reunion against the Seahawks.

Okay, Michael is stupid.

Did he get caught shoplifting underwear?

Did the police pay him a visit for a domestic disturbance only to find some weed?

Did he shoot his mouth off, criticizing the efforts of the league's leading RB last season only to fall flat on his face when given a similar opportunity?

In case you haven't noticed, playing time at the RB position isn't determined by their cerebral attributes.

You might give the coaches just a little credit. I'm pretty sure he's in the lineup during the plays he has been practicing and is familiar with. My guess is that is why his time up to this point has been limited. Jason Garret stresses preparation.
