GAC: Garrett in for second Interview

someone pinch me and tell me today is April 1?

:laugh2: Yeah someone needs to throw some cold water on me so I can wake up from this....

Garrett would make a nice OC but I'm not sure about head coach.

If he's hired I wonder what we do at DC?

Bowles...cause I don't think Ryan or Phillips come here as DC.

If he's HC he needs to turn the D over to someone and focus on the offense.

No doubt.

This is serious business and they suddenly end up talking about guys who would be total reaches as HC's instead. Lame.

Not Really their fault.

All they can do right now is specualte about any possible coach.

Its Capt. KuKu Bananas no one knows whats going on.

grassy knoll: The Dolphins call themselves imposing a 24 hour deadline to get them an answer. Is this why all of a sudden he's being considered a candidate for the head coaching job? Is Jerry trying to buy more time?

Why would you hire an OC prior to an HC? Wouldn't an HC like some say in the staff vacancies? I think so. It looks like if this is more than rumor that Garrett is the man, why the hell not at this point, Dallas is a coaching carousel just like the rest of the league.

Gary Kubiak was once a backup quarterback to a legend, Garrett atleast went to Princeton instead of A&M.

If so maybe Sparano stays and perhaps Bowles gets promoted to defensive coordinator or Garrett already has ideas. I think this would be a very good hire and don't believe Jones did this to regain whatever control.

Honestly at this point it wouldn't matter, I'm so exasperated with this team that they might as well give Garrett a try.

It could turn out fabulous and if not well what were the critics expecting.

Parcells sat in on the first interview, but is gone for the second interview......

He prolly went to go watch the Senior Bowl practices on tv.

See if there wasnt some LB who's smart but not big enough to make it at this level.

A guy who Jerry could sign later tonight to be defensive coordinator.

Link? What is the source for Parcell participating?

This is sounding serious.

I'm wondering if Parcells gave Jerry the "Thumbs Up" and now Jerry is in the negotiating meeting with Garrett?

If it comes to fruition that Parcells apporved, then this may be a good move..... or a bad move, depending on your thoughts of Parcells.

Jones probably said "meet my new coach" and Bill had to go puke.

Jones isn't dumb enough to name Garret the coach just yet. Goddell would strip him of every draft pick from now 'til doomsday for not meeting the Rooney Rule.

I told you that as a redhead he makes for the minority candidate.

It wouldn't shock me to see Garrett hired for HC but I think it will be OC and Wade Phillips as HC because of his huge defensive experience upside.

Jerry interviewed Todd Bowles.

It would excite me less to see Phillips hired than to just go ahead and make Garrett the big enchilada. Phillips usually wears out his welcome in two years and the nit is back to the drawing board.
