The 'gosh darn issue' continues to be the quality of the personnel on defense. I thought I made that clear.

Sidestepping your straw men, since nobody ever suggests we've got he best HC or best coordinators, the team's spent more resources on offense, has hit on those resources at a higher rate than the rest of the league, and has gotten better in the process. We've actually improved on defense during that time, as well. We just started out with a franchise-worst unit in 2012 and have spent fewer resources there, so it's talent longer.

You talk about 'actualizing greatness' sarcastically, but the team won 13 games last year, and the guy is the reigning NFL CotY. It's not like the progress hasn't been obvious to anybody who isn't either ****posting for giggles or has their eyes shut because they don't like the idea of being wrong on the topic after all this time of being so sure they were right.
I wish I'd said this.

If you think I'm worried about earning respect by a bunch of strangers on a message board, than I don't know what to tell you.
I think he is challenging your street (message board) cred. Better just quit while you are ahead.

I would actually rank him a little higher after last year. Getting the results he did with the team being led my two rookies is incredible.

And he doesn't get enough credit for the Romo to Dak transition. You better believe he has a better role in that than advertised.

Some people care what they say, even when it's anonymous. Others don't, for the same reason.

Both types are welcome on most message boards, but let's not pretend there isn't a difference between them, Alex.
And some people post "insider" info to get credibility but are proven wrong, over and over again.

It is all part of message board culture, I understand.

Having the 13th ranked coach in the NFL puts me on speed dial to Jim Harbaugh.
If I needed a coach, I call him first over a recycled NFL coach any day.

He may have rubbed some wrong, but when I see how Jed York has gone since, yeah, I don't hold him to blame.

We've probably both said variations of it, dozens of times.

Sure have. Does not make it right, although there is a charm to repeating a mantra over and over again until it becomes true.

I'd probably move Garrett up a bit. The reason for it is that while most people blame him for the three 8-8 seasons, I would actually say the first two are a credit to him and Romo taking a 5-6 win talent team to 8 wins and keeping it relevant all year. Some will disagree with me, and frankly i don't care. The team under performs when it loses QB1, which is a problem, and one I expect to keep up unless we get someone better then Moore as QB2. Hopefully our young QB will stay healthy. I just don't know if our system was too dependent on a QB doing a lot of defense reading and call adjustment on the fly and had issues when the QB wasn't capable of doing that, but that's the way I'd lean for an explanation. It meant that we won 4 games in 2015 when we probably should have been more like a 6 win team. I'd probably find some place in the top 10 for him, because based on two of the last three years its hard to argue that he shouldn't be up there.

Not to be too blunt about it, Miley, but Hostile earned quite a bit more respect here over the years than you have so far. You could learn a thing or two from him when it comes to defending your own argument.

Disagree with what I said about the team's consistency? Let me know why and we can discuss it. Don't just float an emoji and what you think is a backhanded insult and walk away from the discussion.
Gee, Idgit...thats tough!!

Amen!! Good post!
Then again, your own hero would defile coach's automobiles with his own excrement.

You are a terrible and awful person for idolizing a great player who basically gave us two rings.

Get your priorities straight, mister.

Hey, he is giving it another go around in the Spring League, who knows.

Hardy's deal is that he did not exactly fit in. I won't pretend to know all that went down, but I think he was like others who got the magical Jerry wand when signed. He took things too far somehow. His play was not so awful that you just divorce yourself immediately. Nor do I accept that nobody knew what he was doing and how it all went down before the ******** article. He did not handle that backlash well and not many could. I feel a little sorry for him. But then again, we have a lot of others to feel sorry for. But no time for that. Unless they are draft picks like Gregory. That is different. Or something.
