Maybe, but some are funny as hell.

Now, what's there not to like?

Ironic humor and the complaint of all the burn barrel bunch that detest Jason...Jerry, and still hate Tony Romo.

If that is NOT understood...maybe some should get a real life of their own, and stop with intruding on someone who STILL loves the Cowboys. PERIOD.

This season will let you know a lot about him, while I think he's a pretty decent head coach I am not willing to say Garrett is a top head coach.

IMO he's middle of the pack, which I think says a lot based on his tenure at this point. My issue with Garret are similar to others mentioned. Unfortunately, I don't think his deficiencies are resolved with time and experience, you either have it or you don't when key game decisions are made under pressure and competition.

coaches are like players after a certain period of time you know they either have it or they don't jerry loves him because he lets him be jerry Stephen is not that way at all he is pretty cutthroat so garrett really hasn't got many more dud seasons to go he will either have to make a deep playoff run or it will be over for him

How, then, does one explain the Cardinals?

Two twelve win seasons in three years does say something...

help me out here.......the NFL, MLB, clergy or the bird version?
The discussion was about NFL coaches...now exactly why would you assume otherwise?

Probably didn't know the history behind their Head Coach...for familiarity association from the start.

While that's true, it's true mostly because anything but a deep playoff run for him would be regression at this point.

He took over a bad team, got it contending for the playoffs immediately, while improving the quality and depth of the roster underneath it. While getting on top of the salary cap. Fans have gone from saying he's a coach who can't get over .500 to saying he's one who can't get into the playoffs to saying he's one who can't get deep in the playoffs. That's progress, whether they want to acknowledge it or not.

I’ve said this a million times.

Winning in the NFL is about the HC and his staff creating an environment that develops young players. It’s not about the GM with the ‘eye for talent’ or the fancy schemes that can be drawn up on the tablet.

The good news is that Garrett has shown that ability to create that environment. And if Dak stays on his projected path...Garrett is a coach that has not only created an environment that develops talent time in and time out…but he has cultivated talent at the most important position…the franchise QB.

The issue with Garrett is that he’s tried every way to counter his ability to develop talent. Incredibly conservative playcalling mixed in with bizarre play calling, struggling to manager the clock and falling into the occasional ‘pet cat’ syndrome of sticking with a player that doesn’t produce on gameday. It’s just about put me into an insane asylum.

I will say that I think he has progressed. The playcalling has gotten better. And it was even better this year than it was in 2014 (remember, running about 75% of the time on first down?). My issue with him now is how conservative he gets on 4th down, usually relegating the team to punting or kicking a field goal. He was more aggressive in the beginning of last season and it paid dividends. Then as the season went along he would rather be inflicted with small pox than go for it on 4th down.

At this point, I see him a lot like Marty Schottenheimer except without the great inspirational speeches. It makes me wonder if we can win in the postseason with him. Getting there…I like our chances.

Oh never-mind, i started to type a long " why Garrett sucks " post and realized if people don't see it already they never will so why bother. They will realize it in a few year irregardless after he fails year after year which I have no doubt he will.

One of these days the process will be over. Hard schedule or not I expect the Cowboys to be a playoff team this year. No 8-8 and no regressing to 4-12. Until Garrett starts winning consistently he'll always be mediocre.

Read the article and completely agree.
This head coach does not call plays - so his overall point is idiotic

"When he got to the playoffs, when it comes down to coaching and X's and O's, what happened?"
